  1. FS: Y's by Yohji Yamamoto Green Leather Sneaker Size 2 JP / 40 EU

$100 Shipped within the USA, extra for overseas or overnight, etc.

For sale is a pair of Y's by Yohji Yamamoto. They are green court shoes, made of buttery soft leather and the classic soles used on many premium shoe companies such as common projects.

The soles came with an offwhite paint effect applied to them that is designed to make the shoes look worn in. Coincidentally as they've become more worn in by me, the paint has come off to reveal a more uniform grey sole color, thus the sole looks largely the same from a distance or even close range as they did new. Only close inspection will reveal the paint effect.

There are a few scuffs on the leather, and the insoles are a bit worn in. But I should mention the insoles that came with the shoes have little to no support so you can put in whatever kind you like. There is some wear on the soles as well but still plenty of life left in these shoes. They have a great slim and simple profile with top quality leather and stitching. I've had them for a while but haven't worn them in quite some time. The worn-in look is merely enhanced now that they've had a few wears.

These Y's are labled as size 2 (a Japanese thing apparently) but correspond EXACTLY to a size 40 in common projects. I believe this was printed on the tag which I unfortunately misplaced. The retail on these was well over $250 when they were released. For reference, I normally wear an 8.5 or 9 in most regular running shoes, sneakers, or dress shoes, a 40 or 41 in european sizing. These are perhaps slightly small on me, and have a very narrow profile.

Feel free to email me with questions or for additional pictures at [email protected], and I'll try to respond to PM's as they come up as well. Email is the best way. I'm willing to go with the paypal gift route as I'm very trustworthy, with ebay username fgary007, artvandelay on superfuture, and washington on styleforum. I plan on shipping USPS flat rate, the shoes compact pretty small. I'd vastly prefer to ship within the US but am willing to send overseas if need be.

  2. guy with sweatshirt, fit is good, stick with it. However it looks a little silly with that oversized sweatshirt, I'd stick with something a bit slimmer for a better silhouette.

  3. y's by yohji, ysl rollings, costume national boots, cps all look good.

Personally I'm not into boots though. Asics also look good, generic man makes some nice ones too. For a street wear look you could get dunks or something also not my style.

  4. Teardrops, that fit actually looks pretty good to me. You can easily taper the 21cms to 19cm, especially because the raw doesn't have any wash details you'd lose in the process, and the stitching on the dior jeans are not anything particularly special. Just ask for a ~2cm taper from the knee down at a reliable tailor, have them keep the material worst case scenario. Or you can have someone near a DH store proxy the job for you, they are probably the most reliable ones out there.

  5. I'm 99% certain of this due to the guide, but correct me if I'm wrong.

It is extremely easy to tailor the 21cm to 19cm because the jeans are essentially identical from the waist to knee, plus 99% of the jeans have essentially no details [the washed jeans that is] at the taper due to the stacking. Is this correct? Does anyone here have both the 19cm and the 21 cm to verify?

  6. word hollywood. But I'm pretty sure lvr would find a way to make the 07 umc look bad. I was wondering if there were any other shots out there, worn or not. How do I go about seeing/getting this lookbook you're referring to?

  7. ha, that's exactly the problem I want them to stretch more! I spot stretched the waist last night, maybe a little more stretching and it would be ok. But after trying on the 30 I am afraid it would be too big after stretch. One of the things about dior I've noticed that is different from diesel is that bigger sizes are much much more different in leg circumfrence, thigh, etc between one size and another than most other brands I've tried.

  8. Just tried on the 19cm raw mii at the barneys in downtown seattle. Fit is good but it will stretch out... looks like I should either try and wet stretch the mij 29s I have or look for a washed 30.

  9. So do you think an mii washed size 30 would be perfect then? My theory is that the 30 unstretched mij would be ideal, but of course it will stretch.

Has anybody tried the "made in shade"?

  10. Ok in response to what I posted earlier about fit.

I seriously wish there was like a 29.5. These are fully FULLY stretched out. I know that sizing up one on dior homo is a lot bigger difference in size than with other brands. Also, a 31 was massive, way to big on me. These are 29. I have the blacks and I want to say they fit slightly better. These are sagged pretty low much lower and it would be below the hips and falling off.

    Thoughts?
