  1. there are raw black hobokens this season, the grey gardens.

the nikki sixx is a hoboken wash, and hoboken is the skinniest julian red cut. the nikki sixx seem to be skinnier than other washes though.

  2. xpost from samurai thread

2nd ships overseas. Expect to pay $35 for shipping, $15 or so for a bank transfer (make sure you transfer enough to cover their bank fees or you must transfer twice). Or you can use a proxy from anyone in Japan.

its more like 30 if you cover all the fees. my 710s from 2nd shipped yesterday. i can recommend ordering directly from them. after all, the direct bank transfer was slightly cheaper than paying for a proxy and all the fees paypal charges. i ordered last week, transferred the money on friday, they shipped them on monday.

so its really not complicated, you can solve most things with google translator. they practically dont speak english, but theyre really friendly and quick.

set up a rakuten account, order, transfer the money, receive tracking #, thats it.

theres 3 ways to do a international bank transfer, either they account for all fees, fees are split, or you account for all of them. choose the latter or advise youre bank to do so and youre set. all info you need can be found on here.

def no problem, esp with how common online banking is today. maybe in the us big is more convenient, but with the 50$ they charge for shipping, for europeans this is an alternative you should consider.

  4. should be fine. i have experienced differences in how several hoboken models fit too. mostly size-wise, but also some look slightly differences cutwise on me. true to size (29) seems to work best though most times.

    to compare:

    ive had or still have

    black bullets 28

too tight, almost comparable to the nikki sixx

    grey gardens 30

tried them on slightly tight in the waist, fit looked way too huge though, really weird

    no wash 29

fit fine, but to slubby and stretched out now, but still fine. prob. still better than 28

    dark dancers 30

just tried these on, look fine, waist tad tight, 29 might have worked too but i got a good deal on these. def not as huge looking as the grey gardens. theres been quite some interest in these lately, but beware, the color is definetely more of a grey rather than black.

    nikki sixx 28

no way i could fit these. really tight and somehow slimmer cut than all the others.

    nikki sixx 29

still tight. havent worn them much. so dont know about stretch, but they will be probably be fine. still look slimmer than all the others.

    sugars 29

the best hoboken cut and wash ever. i wear these all the time. fit perfect and are really comfortable. best silhouette of all models i have. stretched out slightly, look slim and still feel comfortable and roomy.

    hope that helped.

anybody wants to trade a 28 raw cali for the 28 nikki sixx?

  5. Just got back, feel the same way. Nothing really that great, if I had $350 on me I would have bought a nice gray Cloak blazer, but that was about it. They did have those Cloak suede boots for $150 in 44 and 39.

if those are the desert boots, could anybody pick up a pair for me in 39?

  6. i didn't know it wasa still a small family owned biz. in certain countries his units are everywhere. units dont seem to move how they once did in the 90s. how is the company doing? who is in charge of his distribution? thanx

i read a text about them in german a while ago. most of their retailers are in germany or austria. theres only a few more in switzerland, italy, the netherlands and one in the US, in NY. They themselves have only 15 stores, all in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. I get the impression that they seem to focus on established - german speaking - markets and dont have much amibitions to expand.

The company is family owned in the fourth generation and led by 3 brothers.

This Text is from their Homepage which does have a pretty decent english version.

    THE FUTURE OF TRADITION

The Ludwig Reiter Schuhmanufaktur is a family-run enterprise in the fourth generation, which was established 1885 in Vienna. Ludwig Reiters particular tradition is the manufacturing of Goodyear welted shoes in classic Viennese style. In addition to that, Ludwig Reiter has developed a wide range of high grade casual shoes, fine leather goods and other accessories.

The factory is still located at the outskirts of Vienna. The products are not only distributed through own stores in Austria, Germany and Switzerland, but also through exclusive boutiques internationally as well as co-operations with several fashion brands.

For Ludwig Reiter tradition is not a purpose in itself. In connection with the own stores the old manufactory provides a particular personal vicinity and space for individual desires. The experience of 120 years of fine craftsmanship evolves in modern structures for contemporary requirements. With Ludwig Reiter individualism opens the future of tradition.

They also do nice Leatherware like Belts and Briefcases. Their Catalogue provides further info on the Company itself.

All of the German texts have a tone to them that suggests theyre not much interested in expanding markets and company growth. it certainly looks like it.

  8. i'm curious where you read this...

blue in green's measurements indicate that a 28 measures 31" (15.5 x 2), and my own experience with two pairs of somets bears out their sizing advice: go down one size. if you normally wear a 29, you should've bought the 28, it sounds like?

    keep us posted!

the waist measurements from the guy i bought them from. he mentioned they are convenient for people wearing 27 in diors. they are comparable in the waist, but the legs are to tight for my liking, im gonna post pics of my legs later. i can button them without problems, though they are a tad tight. i agree, a 27 or a 28 would be alot better.

  9. i just read that the waist was 15.5'' on a 26, had heard they run large and went for it. i normally wear a 29 or what equates to it in most other brands. if you wanna put it that way, i did size down 3.

  10. ive just transferred the money, and told 2nd so in simple english (and in japanese via a google translated version). everything should be fine. this is what they responded, im just asking because google gives weird translations, and babelfish says something about "you can point to the method of dispatching". can anybody translate it?
