  1. ^ thanks

You need to stretch out your jeans some more and slouch them. This is not how Diors are meant to be worn.

    In case you missed it:

All of the following pictures were taken when the jeans were brand new, so they give a good indication of how they fit at tag size prior to any stretching.

I’m glad that I got my Diors in a size that was snug to begin with. If they’d been loose enough to sag straightaway then they would probably be falling off me by now. As it is, they’ve stretched out a perfect amount to give the slouchy yet slim, low slung look that I was after. If I’d bought them any bigger then I’d probably need a belt to keep them up…

  2. Thanks for all the feedback.

I'd say the indigo PBJs were probably my favourite pair at present. I would have preferred to get some with the old blue tab, as I think that the new indigo leaf logo looks a bit like chewing gum from a distance, but I don’t have the patience to unpick it right now so I suppose I’ll just have to get used to it.

  3. great fit on those 710s Dino

I’ve been sorting through my photobucket today, so thought I might as well stick these up. All of the following pictures were taken when the jeans were brand new, so they give a good indication of how they fit at tag size prior to any stretching. The PBJs and Sammies were purchased from BIG and put through their OXS service before being hemmed. The Diors are raw and haven't been altered. For reference, I'm around 5ft 7 and a 29/30 waist.

I received these today and they're currently very tight in the waist. My black pair stretched out a lot though, which is why I sized down so much this time around, so I'm hoping that they'll become a bit more comfortable soon.

  4. In the spirit of superfuture consumerism let's turn this thread into a list of which titles you have.

    My current Criterions:

    2008_0213Image0001.jpg

Living in the UK, I tend to buy more R2 than R1 discs so I own around the same amount of non-Criterion versions of films from the Criterion collection: Andrei Rublev, Band of Outsiders, Contempt, Jules et Jim, In the Mood for Love, Ordet, Ratcatcher, Picnic at Hanging Rock, Walkabout, Silence of the Lambs, Onibaba and Woman of the Dunes. In some cases, where I've at one time owned both, I’d even say that the non-Criterion releases were better than the Criterions (for example, the Tartan SE version of In The Mood For Love and the Eureka MoC version of Onibaba). It's just a shame that none of the AEye/BFI/Plathe/MoC DVDs come with cool postcards :(

    THREE WOMEN

    TESHIGAHARA BOX SET

    FANNY AND ALEXANDER

these are the best i've seen lately

I really like the TV version, didn’t enjoy the film as much. Which did you see?

  5. I bought this top from Oki Ni last year. I've only worn it a handful of times since then, so it's still in absolutely perfect 'as new' condition. It comes complete with original tags and the Oki Ni dust bag that it came packaged in.

It's a great slim fitting top (ideal for 34-36 chest), excellent quality, good materials, made in Japan, and has lots of nice details

    blurb that I found online:

"The hoody comes in a heavy weight cotton jersey with a brushed waxed cotton body. The centre front has a chunky antiqued brass zip covered with a full length storm flap fastened by matt silver D clasps. The fine 2 x 2 rib on the waistband and cuffs is also on the band collar, the hood has an adjustable drawstring other features include a centre back seam, top stitching on run and fell seams and two large patch pockets."

Measurements taken with the top zipped up and laid completely flat are as follows: shoulder to shoulder: 16 inches, armpit to armpit: 18, total length 26, sleeve: 26.

I paid £255, I’m asking £205 plus shipping so £215 delivered in the UK or £225 ($450) shipped to the US. Payment via bank transfer (preferred) or Paypal (confirmed addresses only, I’ll cover the fees).

I have one sale on this site so far

I’ve also bought from other members in the past, and have sold plenty of stuff in the classifieds on fuk.co.uk

For some reason, I find it hard to take good pictures of black clothing with my camera, so I've only included a few shots below. If anyone wants any more detailed photos of any part of the top then just pm me and I’ll send them straight over.

I know I don’t have that many posts on this forum, but I have bought from other Superfuture members in the past and am 100% legit. I normally post on fuk.co.uk, and the items that I’m selling here are also listed there:

Pure Blue Japan XX-005 jeans, indigo, one wash, size 30. Slim fit, slubby, 14.5oz Japanese selvage denim, come with the classic blue tag.

I bought these from BIG as a spare pair some time back because I liked the fit of my PBJ XX-005 blacks so much. Never got round to wearing them though, and I've since lost a bit of weight so they're now too big for me. The slight honeycombs that you can see in the pictures are just from trying the jeans on around the house. There is no real wear on the denim whatsoever.

Measurement are as follows: waist is 15 inches across, inseam is 33.5, front rise is 9.5, back rise is 13, upper thigh is 11, knee is 8, leg opening is 7.75.

£95 shipped in the UK or £103 posted anywhere else in the world.

Nudie Regular Ralph Dry Selvage jeans, made in Italy from 14oz Japanese selvage denim. Tagged 29/30 (this is the original inseam length, the jeans have not been hemmed), these have been washed once and now measure 29.5/29.5. The back pocket detail has been unpicked. They come complete with original tags and the Nudie booklet.

Measurement are as follows: waist is 14.75 inches across, inseam is 29.5, front rise is 9.75, back rise is 14, upper thigh is 11.25, knee is 8.25, leg opening is 8.5.

Nudie Bootcut Ola jeans in 'worn dark' wash, tagged 29/30 but have stretched out quite a bit and now measure 32/30 (again, this is the original inseam length, the jeans have not been hemmed). The jeans are a slim fit, low rise cut with a very slight, hardly noticeable, bootcut opening. They have been worn and washed, and the back pockets have been debranded. As with the RRDS, they come complete with original tags and the Nudie booklet.

Measurement are as follows: waist is 16 inches across, inseam is 30, front rise is 8.25, back rise is 14, upper thigh is 10.5, knee is 7.5, leg opening is 7.75.

£35 shipped in the UK or £43 posted anywhere else in world.

  7. I’d also say go for a size 29.

I’m a 30 in PBJ XX-005’s, a 28 in raw Dior's and a 28 in New Standards, and my size 29 S710's (which have been through BIG’s OXS service) fit perfectly in the waist.

Here’s a quick pic for reference, I had to lean over to take it which is why the angle is a bit off and the inseam looks quite short, irl they fit pretty much exactly like the pair that 'fix' posted a few pages back:

  8. Dior Homme gold crewneck sweater with single front pocket and detachable drawstring. From the 'Should I Stay or Should I Go Now' A/W 06 season. Reference code: 6HH3050618.

Tagged as a small and fits true to size. Measurements are as follows: shoulder to shoulder is 17 inches, pit to pit is 19, and total length from the back of the neck to the hem is 26.

Has only been worn a couple of times, so is still in perfect condition. Retailed at Brown's for £300, comes complete with box. Selling Dior on ebay is a nightmare now so I'm letting this go cheaply in the hope of a stress free sale.

£165 within the UK (price includes Special Delivery). Payment via bank transfer (preferred), or Paypal (confirmed addresses only, I’ll cover the fees).

$350 shipped to the US (insured and with tracking). Payment via Paypal (confirmed addresses only, I’ll cover the fees).

  9. On the subject of washing/shrinkage, I had a quick question that I was hoping that someone might be able to help me with.

I received my S710's from BIG today. They’d been put through the OXS one-wash service and the waist had shrunk down to its true tagged size (29). However, the inseam obviously hadn’t got down to 36 (Gordon said that it might not), as the jeans had been hemmed with about 1.5 inches more length than I’d requested (which I’m presuming is to allow for further shrinkage).

I was just wondering whether anyone with these jeans knew how many washes it should take for the inseam to fully shrink, as at present the stacking is a bit more than I would like...

  10. I have a couple of pairs of those Paul Smith socks, they're great. The Mulberry Wallet and boots are nice too. Looks like you got all that stuff at Barney's.

    What kinda boots are they?

    Thanks.

The boots are Paul Smith York boots, which I happened to buy in York too (I’m in the UK, so nothing came from Barney’s).

  11. i wonder, too. i only read "the road"

a coworker lent me "no country..." but i didn't get around to it

i have "all the pretty horses" at home, but i don't know if i would like anything else but post-apocalypic mccarthy

All the Pretty Horses is definitely worth reading, although it's nowhere near as dark or deterministic as the The Crossing and Cities of the Plain. It was the only part of the Border Trilogy that I enjoyed rather than endured though.

  12. The War Zone

I’d second this. It's truly harrowing to watch at times, but definitely deserves to be seen by a wider audience. Whenever I watch Ray Winstone in anything now I immediately think of him in this...

On a related note, I’d recommend Ratcatcher (Lynne Ramsay, 1999) as another gritty drama that deserves more recognition.
