  1. being sick with the flu, anemic, and then on an unusually painful period (throbbing head and bodyaches, cold sweat, fainted, vomited, had diahrrea, horrid back ache, with the worst menstrual and general cramps i've ever experienced)--i was balled up in the fetal position when i wasn't hunched over a toilet.

  2. to make this thread more useful... can we just talk about Rag & Bone the denim?

SO... for the people that have bought the denim... is it worth the money?

I have respect for Rag&Bone especially after reading their backstory on how they saved some mill in North Carolina (Men's Vogue). I was about to buy rbw7-dark indigo wash (a skinny raw-looking but incredibly soft and lightweight jean made for women), but unloading near 270$ on one pair of jeans is more than I can honestly afford--especially on jeans I haven't done too much research on--thanks sufu!

Anyway, does anyone have any information on Rag & Bone or the link to a SuFu thread I missed already dedicated to Rag&Bone? Is Rag&Bone not talked about because it sucks or is unknown? What's up? :P

    :o

  3. Why do people act like they are excited to be featured in this topic? "I finally made it"; are you telling me you dressed bad on purpose, went out in public and all that (granted, alot of people in this topics fits aren't really that bad, but there are some, and these people are all "excited" and shit)? When you looked in the mirror at your bad(some of you) fits your train of thought was not "Oh this is gonna make worst fits" and if so, thats pathetic.

i think they're just tryin to play it off... like they didn't get burned, but everyone (well, almost everybody) knows they're hurting inside.

  4. Isoform, post pics of the dome! We can be shaved head twinzzzzzzzzz.

Damn mine has grown back so fast and it's only been a week. :(

oh...my hair is just pulled back. :] i do like yer buzz tho--it was a shock seeing it at first.

  5. hey, just wanna know if there are spelling mistakes in the april77 labels. cos i recently bought a pair from this US retailer and well, spotted some mistakes on the label of the jeans. cruelty was spelt as crulty and registered as registerd. can someone clarify?

mine has cruelty spelled correctly but registered is "registred"--and i got mine from Royal Cheese in Paris...you can always inquire on the website.

  6. no one here listens to elliott smith or is he too obvious of a suggestion...?

    EDIT:

CMF mentioned strange fruit (as sung by Billie Holiday) and that song is forever connected to sam cooke's a change is gonna come in my mind, and those are two very heavy songs...

  7. your real waist is a bit above your bellybutton. it's the slimmest part of your torso.

like my real waist is 26--so i'm able to buy "size 26" denim that have an "actual waist" measurment of like 27-28 inches or something so they can sit on my lower-waist (a few inches below my belly button) where i want them...

  8. Tsubi....definetely make one of the best if not the best womens jean. most flattering and since girls don't need all that selvage jazz they are perfect.

Tsubi/Ksubi, the few pairs I tried are were incredibly tight and I'm pretty skinny... They were uncomfortable, but I still would have gotten them if they weren't ridiculously overpriced.

also i'd disagree with the comment that girls seem to like tacky accents. i mean, evisu... and hypebeasts--i think the dudes who are into fashion can be much more, or as worse, than brandflashing women with Rock & Republic cheese on their backsides.

I'm definitely a female who prefers to have bare pockets, minimal to no distressing, and no obnoxious logos/accents...on jeans or anything else really...

Anyway, I looked up the Skull Lindas and they look really good--how much did you all (those who've said they have 'em) pay for them? The yen to USD from the fabfour site = about 144$ to 158$ which is a decent price for half selvedge raw straight-leg. Anyone know where Lindas are sold in NYC?

  9. i don't know you, but i loved Berlin. and germans, especially the ppl you'd probably meet, have their own handle on english so there's no real need to worry. there's a lot of stuff to do in Berlin, free tours about the city and history, museums, good-cheap food and drinks, daytrips out of the city (there are palaces outside the city and a concentration camp), excellent public transportation, great art/fashion scene, blahblahblah. Go to Berlin.

  10. I also just registered last night, but I have been lurking SuFu for about a month when I was looking for places in Paris to purchase April77s. I was immediately taken aback by the sheer knowledge, interest-- to the point of wonderful obsession --over denim. I love it! You all had me at 'Encyclopedia'. :P I've been slowly, but surely, making my way through the whole thing and am ready to sell the majority of my shoddy jeans "collection" to invest in APCs first (hopefully from another SuFu member) them maybe graduate (as in save money and find exactly what i want) to Japanese denim.

I mean the only things I'll keep around are my two pairs of JBrand 12'' (Aged [first pair of jeans over 60$ got them in Oct06] and Gingerbread washes), April77 (Joey Overdrive), CheapMonday (Tight OD Black), MissSixty (NewTommy Bootleg), and a pair of the tightest skinnies I have from UrbanOutfitters' house brand (Lux 10'' or 9.5'' opening Overdye Black).

And where are all of the other lady n00bs at? :D
