This is my favorite piece from the new season... I have to get my hands on one of these... Guide Gore-Tex 3L.

Does anyone know the price of the Guide jkt, or this season's Nomads/Field jackets?

Re: the outerwear; i picked up the new Mountain Parka and I agree with the others - the fit is perfect and it is totally weatherproof. It was definitely worth the money and i am seriously impressed. Also, the red/orange/green colourway, in person, is actually a really smart-looking piece - not at all as garish as I thought it would be.

WIth regards to the hooded field jackets, I have one from last winter (07/08 season) and it's not particularly waterproof but definitely keeps me warm (even with just a tee on underneath). The sizing is similar to the Mountain Parka from this season, but because of the thicker lining it fits a little bit tighter (and has no drawstring on the hem, which they may have fixed this season).

Wonder if they'll do another north face this year (I think I might be in a rather small minority who actually liked the NF collabs)...

I have an Acronym GT-J9 from two years ago. It cost me 600GBP (roughly the equivalent to 1200 dollars) and I still feel pretty ill when I think about spending that amount of money on a single piece of clothing. However, it is a remarkable piece and it has really lasted. I live in Sctoland where the weather is pretty harsh most of the time and the jacket has really lived up to the challenge. Plus, let's be honest, it looks great. Having said that, the prices seem to be creeping up and up, and I was actually pretty shocked to see the price of the two a/w jackets on the glade - the entire world economy is going down the toilet and they want 900 euros for a jacket?

All that aside, though, I want a GT-J15.

Man, I must be shorter than I thought, because on a lot of you guys, the leg length looks totally fine, but if I didn't turn up my NS, they'd be comically long. Thanks, internet. Thanks for helping me to discover that I have short legs.

On the plus side, I've discovered I have a much slimmer waist than I thought (I thought I was about a 32, but I'm actually a 29). Though, I wish I'd sized down at least another one.

Oh well, I'm off to Paris in September, so no doubt I'll pick up another pair (maybe New Cures this time). Anyone been to the APC stores in Paris?

The only thing is, you might, at this point, be hard-pressed to get your hands on one at this point. Apparently, they sell out really fast - especially the smaller sizes.

I should also mention that my apprehensions about the hood were ill-founded; it is a perfect coat.

Just received my Gore-tex field jacket (another stellar performance from Jake Unkutt) and I have to say it is an absolutely stunning piece of work - really incredibly high quality.

My only complaint is this; compared to the S/S 07 Nomad Paclite jacket, they seem to have made the hood significantly smaller. Has anybody else noticed this? I bought this jacket to brave the harsh Scottish rain and, while the Nomad's hood pretty much protects my entire head, the hood on this one is quite a bit more conservative.

Apart from that, though, i am blown away; from the cut and shape, the taping on the seams, the materials used and the general shape, it is a fantastic piece of outerwear. Built to last for sure.

Does anyone have any info on the sizing on the Gore-tex field jacket from this season? Anyone own one yet, or anybody tried one on?

The Nomad (paclite) i have from spring/summer is a Medium and, as far as sizing goes, it's pretty huge - I'd have been better with a small. Is the sizing on the ones from this season similar?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What spec gore-tex is on the field jacket? Is it XCR/Pro-Shell or pac-lite?

Milspex, what do you mean by "faint pinstripe"? The pics form the catalogue look quite solid coloured, and i think i'd be less interested in the jacket if it has a pinstripe effect...

Nah, the Townsend is the fishtail coat on the right. The field jacket on the left is dope too... almost like a heavier version of the Nomad. But the nylon lining shown on the top left image is sold separately (I think ~$300USD.) That's the only thing that sucks for the outerwear. You gotta buy the piece, which is almost like a shell, and then the lining separately if you want to actually be warm.

Those are, genuinely, two of the nicest jackets I have ever seen. The one on the left is beautiful. A must buy.

I just wish the UK prices for Visvim weren't so incredibly high.

I've dealt with Jake three times (once for Visvim, twice for Supreme) and everytime he has been fantastic to work with. Amazing communication (even considering the time difference between the UK and Japan) and ultra-fast pickup and shipping. Each time he has gone out of his way to get me exactly what i asked for and the service really couldn't have been any better. On top of all of that, he is an incredibly nice guy to boot!

Does anyone have any good pics of the Fluxus denim from this season? Particularly the "Crush" style. I want to buy some new fluxus jeans but haven't seen any detailed pictures yet.

On a related note, i picked up the Nomad paclite and it is just incredible, in terms of quality, cut and detailing it is impeccable; my new favourite piece of outerwear!

I have one of the 06/07 GT-J9 Acronym jackets. I'm not going to get into how phenomenal this jacket is as it's been said a billion times before, but this is my second one.

Anyway, i've been wearing it a fair bit recently and noticed that if i wear a white tee underneath it there seems to be some transfer of black(ish) dye from the material that runs along the inside of the jacket at the waist (where the snow-skirt would attach to - i removed it).

Just wondering if anyone else had had any experience of this happening? Any thoughts on how to get rid of it? I would rather not put it in to get dry-cleaned at the moment (through fear of it being ruined).
