  1. Going to lunch with a friend tomorrow to discus the beginnings of a brand for his store. I might be taking a creative director role in it. Brand will be tees, then hopefully some cut and sew. I will mostly focus on developing good quality C&S. The brand will probably have strong Americana and Militaria themes. Once I get some preliminary designs goin, I might show em to you guys to get feedback.

not hating, but what a surprise.

  2. man so I'm leaving tomorrow am for Kauai with the whole extended family, like 18 of us, and I just found out someone decided to make matching family tee shirts with the last names and "Kauai 2012" on them, and they're all hyped on wearing them on the plane and then off to "surprise" my grandparents at the terminal in Lihue.

I'm apparently the only one not excited about this bullshit. Everyone else is hyped.

just slap a supreme sticker on it

  3. i mean... this is not the thread for it so I won't go any further than this. But you don't need to make Asians look "better." The model minority thing is so embedded in people's minds it makes us look one-dimensional. I don't think any less of the white people I work with when I see hillbillies on TV, and yet they all think I'm good at math (even though I am). So if someone wants to make a show about Asians where they're not being doctors or getting picked on, I'm sure as hell not going to complain.

U guys are hating on this. But seriously I respect these guys for doing this, I think it's helping Asians break stereotypes and giving us more representation, plus these guys are manly and attractive.

Helping break asian stereotypes? For what? Jersey Shore wannabes? Fuck me.

there are dumb whites and smart whites as well as dumb blacks and smart blacks in media. Asians lack dumb representation. I think people who are always hung up on Asians being represented in a positive light have good intentions but backwards idealisms.

edit: with that said tho, i definitely wish the girls were hotter.

  5. I just finished the manga yesterday and the last 5 chapters felt so rushed. I'm guessing they paced the anime the same way, I haven't been watching it so I had no idea it was 8 years. There's so much in between that could have been really good content.

  6. ^ i was just thinking that.

Bearcousin, how the hell did you take this picture? lmao

idk man... i took this one today (in roseville)

    yeah, that's a hatchetman necklace.

  7. I'm asian and that's my current style. Granted, my hair is pretty soft. If you have regular asian hair, you can do the high fade just fine. you just need to get it maintained once a month because the sides won't lay. It's the top of the hair that you'll really have trouble with because stiff asian hair refuses to lie flat unless it's longer. Shampooing your hair less (like once every 3 times you shower. I do once a week since my hair's been used to it for so long it doesn't overproduce oil) makes a big difference. When you shampoo your hair without conditioner, it dries out and becomes really stiff. Your hair just needs to be more malleable.

My hair is longer on top than i think you want it, but you can see the sides here. For reference, it's a 0 or .5 ( i can't remember which) at the bottom of the taper.

  8. how do you guys deal with cow licks? I've got one on the left side right on my bangs that goes straight forward and down. I've been trying to get my bangs up and to the right but that left side just doesn't cooperate and gets all fluffy. I've been using sebastian craft clay and american crew forming cream btw.

there's not much you can do except let your hair grow longer or move the rest of your hair in a similar direction. I don't like ODing on product.
