  1. Any of you had any experience with Helmut Lang raw straight leg jeans? They're actually a bit tapered... but I bought 1-2 sizes down and are extremely tight. I assume they're going to stretch in the waist in the next couple of weeks.

I had a pair of APCs that stretched too much... so I hoped to mitigate that problem by sacrificing for a few weeks :-P

  2. There is a Skype workaround for the iPhone but you could imagine that At&t is not very happy about it. I'm sure sooner or later someone will come up with something.

Of course they wouldn't be happy about it. Nor am I paying a $60+ / month phone bill. I'd love to see a workaround for the itouch - they're bound to expand the capacity on that much faster than on the iphone and for less $$$

... draw backs would be - no visual voicemail, or general ease of phone utility. (ie. you'd have to log into your skype app everytime to call...)

At least for now, the iphone has already been unlocked.

  3. Waiting for the itouch to get a bit more capacity and for a skype or other VOIP provider to create an app accessible through the touch or iphone.

PS: Is there a microphone on the itouch or do the iphone headphones work on there? (i.e. can you record a voice message onto an itouch) - that may or may not be the tipping point for a skype like app to be possible.

  4. 1. my roommate kissed natalie portman, or rather she kissed him. twice. he's also a member on this board

    2. the boots i just bought from chris are the most expensive shoes i own now.

    2b. not by a lot

2c. i need to stop spending money

Wow that guy must be such a baddass. +REP lol...

  5. Definitely recommend getting a table btw. Cover charge is typically $20 euro at this place - tables were like $110 euro (bottle of absolut). If you split it amongst friends - definitely the way to go, as drinks are expensive and typically watered down.

  6. quick question on the pre-packaged tees-

are you allowed to open up any of them just to see what size you are?

I would normally go with the size S, but considering that I fit XS in their dress shirts, what should I go for?

Anybody know any approximate pit to pit measurements for XS,S, and M?

I wear slim fit sz S in W+H clothing, just to give a general sense/idea

Sorry if this is a repeat question, but couldn't really see it addressed anywhere, and I don't want to go bonkers on tees without even knowing my true size...

I opened a bunch when I was in Seoul and no one seemed to care. Keep in mind that the pre-packaged T's fit very differently than the mutli pack drys. They're a bit larger but much nicer quality IMO.

The pre-packaged V's shrink to a perfect size for me. If you're someone who's really thin tho, I would consider looking at the packaged T's which are narrower.

  7. For those who thought Israel was just full of guns, bombs, and fundamentalists

Edit: Another cool fact about this beach is that there used to be a Roman fortress built up on the cliffside - that fell about 1000 years the go... so the ruins line the beach.

  8. hey guys

thinking of taking a week break from Israel and flying to Greece. I've been to Athens before and am not really interesting in being there... do you have any recommendations on which islands to visit?

I've heard Paros is beautiful - in addition to the more popular Santorini and Mykonos

Any specific islands/night life spots/restaurants/landmarks would be much appreciated!
