How's sizing on Narrative run?

I want me a pair of them crazy zipper jeans from April 77. Looking for size 30 though 29 or 31 might work, I would need waist measurements somewhere around 15.5-16.5" flat (16" is ideal, which is what most of my gayprils measure)

Mostly interested in Hi-Standard (matte black, slightly thicker denim than most A77) but any other black Johnnys (if they exist) would be of interest.
