I just emailed Conie Jeans and got some information back. The contest jeans are supposedly 100$ not including shipping. The model is the Massa Genuine x LA Deluxe (I believe the ones pictured above with the 3001-ish arcs) Here is a size chart provided by Conie
Conie, please correct me if i'm wrong.
I was wondering how we'd set up this contest? I know a lot of people are interested, however I also wouldn't want to end up being the only one buying a pair of contest jeans. In addition, has anyone else bought from conie already? Kev07 is still waiting for his free pair?

I'd be interested in the competition as well! Keep us updated

Hello Superfuture,
Up for grabs is a pair of Samurai 710xx in brand new condition. The pair was purchased for around $350 from ueno americaya in japan. I've gained weight and don't think I will be able to fit these anytime soon. Please note that these are Lot 15. A pair of lot 17 510xx 19oz that I purchased recently has less streaky and less slubby denim dispite also being kiwami denim.
Here are images of the denim for comparison.
Lot 15 710xx 19 oz
Lot 17 510xx 19oz
Not sure exactly what's going on with the denim from lot to lot but here's your chance to pick up a pair of 710xx with the slubby denim while you can!
Measurements (BIG style)
Waist - 18.5
FR - 12.5
BR- 16
Thigh 13.125
Inseam - 38.5
Knee - 9.875
Hem - 8.75
Asking for $250 shipped in the US or better offer.

Never got sizing down with the Ubiqs...any suggestions on how they fit? Mind measuring your foot big toe to heel?

Awesome jeans in such a rare size. Size 36 F380's have been sold out worldwide for past couple months. Would sweep up if I had the money. Consider this a free bump!

Interesting new design khoiphan.
Glad to see you're still working hard. Might need to pick up one of those card holders. How much are they running?

You're the same size as me in height/weight.I picked up the 34 in the grey. I bet that a 34 would be more than fine for you. I do warn you that the crotch is on the tight side.
In addition, I gave my pair a soak the other day. The denim is pretty damn hairy. These jeans also bleed like no other. My hands pretty much get stained blue after putting them on / 20-30 minutes of wear.

Does anyone have the direct link to the samurai contest picture thread? I'm having a hell of a time finding it.
Much appreciated.

Anyone have an hands on experience on how much s5000xx tend to shrink after a hot soak? Mainly in the thighs and waist. From what I've heard these are shrink to fit correct? So maybe around 10% shrinkage?

BlueOctoberFan thighs are close to a 13. I usually have a problem with the thighs in certain jeans but these were actually fine. You might want to take the rise into consideration. Front rise is about 10.5 rear is 14.25. Measurements are in inches.
I'm thinking about giving these a hot soak. Maybe to have them fit a bit better to my body? Don't know the shrinking capabilities...the legs are def very relaxed.

Hey everyone,
Just got my grey drys in. Initial Impression: The denim is extremely stiff for a 15 oz. Might be due to large amounts of starch or possibly the resin coated weft threads. The construction of the jeans is very nice. Solid all around. Only flaws may be in the stitching. Dye on the jeans is somewhat strange. Dye wipes off very easily. As a matter of fact, my hands were almost covered in dye after just handling them for 10-15 minutes. Dye is a shade of blue which is also somewhat strange considering these are grey? Anyway, I do believe that these jeans will fade nicely.
Snapped a few very quickly
For ref...I'm 5' 10" 180 pounds. Got a size 34. True waist of 35.

Edited:
Very basic but... APC rescue. A straight cut that stretches out quite a bit over a short period of time...haha thanks gimmegimme.
Recommend sizing down 2-3 from measured waist size. Check the apc thread for more sizing questions!

^^^That was also one of my concerns, along with the super low rise. I called up my local tailor and they mentioned that it would be about 15-20$ to get them changed to a button. Not too bad.

Hey everyone,
I recently called up context because I was confused with sizing. Talked to their awesome staff and got a couple measurements. Please realize that I am in no way responsible if the measurements I have heard are not correct.
Size 34 Indigo
Waist: 17.5
Thigh: 11.5
Front Rise: 10.25
Size 36 Indigo
Waist: 18.5
Thigh: 12.5
Front Rise: 10.5
Size 34 Grey
Waist: 18
Thigh: 12.25
Rise: 10.25
Size 36 Grey
Waist: 19
Thigh: 12.75
Rise: 10.25
From what I have heard, the indigo pair is smaller in measurement size when compared to the grey pair. Also, the indigo pair is not chainstitched but have hidden rivets. The grey pair do not have hidden rivets but are chainstitched.
These specs should be similar to the one Joey is selling at his shop.
(correct me if im wrong!)
I picked up a pair of grey dry so i'll post pics as soon as I recieve.

I got a couple kids with raw denim at my school. Don't really get that many comments about jeans being too tight or anything. My english teacher did one day make a comment about how my phone and my wallet are "killing" my jeans and how these jeans must be my favorite pair since I seem to wear the same jeans everyday.

Thought I might chime in. After dealing with Khoiphan I must say he has great communication/patience. His wallets are obviously not going to be as good as corter's; however, they are the BEST bang for the buck. Khoiphan's workmanship is close to flawless. Stitching/backstiching is tight and well placed. Pieces are cut with precision and accuracy. Only con may be the un-burnished edges, which may change later on? I honestly can say I don't know too much about leather, but I do highly recommend these wallets especially if you want nice wallet but are short on cash.
