  1. Okay so let's move on. Bandanna does not work for Kapital - please get the thread back on track and make it about Kapital and not about slinging mud at each other. Impassioned debate is not a problem as long as everyone keeps the personal stuff out of it.

    MOVING ON MEANS MOVING ON

  2. Is it bad to run in "cheap shoes" that look legit?

How a shoe looks is irrelevant to distance running. If you are serious about running go get your feet checked out at a proper running shop that will do an analysis of your gait, check you for pronation/supination and determine the best shape to fit your foot - brand and cost only really enter into it if choosing between several options which fit you the same way.

  3. Pretty sure Haven picked up almost everything last season except the S-J30 and the womenswear pieces. Just because you weren't around to watch it all sell out in September doesn't mean it wasn't there. Also no hate but even ACR only has XL's left at this point, coming in at the tail end of the season and critiquing stores selections is pretty dumb.

  4. The functionality is the best part! Use this shit for what it was intended for.

I like the functionality but tbh, there is one main area which they have neglected and that is in reflective materials. To date, the main reflective element has been the logo. I don't know if making the logo bigger is a response to the need for more reflectivity but I would like to see more work put into incorporating other design elements that catch light.

I have had to do a fair amount of night running over the last couple of months and I am by far the least visible person of those with whom I run. Blending in with the shadows is great for ninjas but not so great when dodging traffic.

  5. Whats the appeal with nike+ (generally speaking)??

I only started using Nike+ because I am running along with others and they were using it so I got used to it. It isn't as good as the Garmin GPS in that it doesn't measure heart rate or altitude gain but it is serviceable and easy for people to get access to in that they can get the chip or band if necessary and it seems to work well with Apple products including the various iPods.

  6. I think the best way to figure out what you need is to go to one of those dedicated running shops and have them check your gait and foot strike and then have them suggest the type of sole that would work best for you. Trial and error works too, but it's expensive and you may risk injury. ;)

This. If you are going to be doing serious distances, it is best to follow his suggestion and find a shoe that fits you best. Don't go in with a particular brand in mind. I did this recently and ended up with some seriously ugly Brooks shoes that work much better for my feet than Nike. I do wear still wear Nike but not for distance running.
