  1. Need some quick cash so the following are up:

The Geller glasses everyone effing wants. I have the the sunglasses in "Joseph" frames. They are tortiseshell but you could fool me, since they're black in all but the most intense light.

Perfect condition on the actual glasses, case has minor scuffs from being in my bag.

    Bought at Den, 190 shipped.

    Geller Belmondo Dress Shirt

Image stolen from Still. I have this one (light blue microstripe) and the white/black micro-pinstripe version, I'm selling one, first person to call dibs gets to choose the one he wants. Blue is basically new, white/black has been worn more than once.

From first collection, double shoulder seam creates narrow top sillhoutte, collar is large intentionally, fits very slim.

    Size 52 (fits 50)

    140 shipped

  2. The last few toronto girls i hung/dated/txt'ed frequently where into 3 things...

    1) wallet size....they both raided my wallet, actually.

    2) expensive clothings...one of them was barging to her friend about how i was wearing like 3 Dior pieces..retarded.

    3) having shit paid for them...free loading.

Just like sean im over it, I need a smart girl with actual culture that expands past parkdale.

    to nesk...

stay awesome, hit that shit. may your weekends be like a j-kwon music video.

    marc.

Man they be like, 1 million girls of a date able age up in the piece. Can't all be bad?

  3. but if one is attempting to "craft" a humorous dramatic and sarcastic response Gogol seems like the more appropriate reference to make--thats all.

Right, that's entirely true, but I referenced Weil, not Dostoevsky. Weil being one of the most pretentious references I can think of off the top of my head.

I also feel no shame about referencing big D, were I to do so. We're coming from separate areas, you're a philosophy student, you'd prefer an essay on the subject. To you Dostoevsky is useful only as a footnote. I'm not a Lit. student, but it is my main interest. To me the philosophy of Dostoevsky is secondary to his power as a storyteller and stylist.

You're confrontational to the point of absurdism.

  4. Spot the philosophy major!

Jesus just send me an email if you care about responding word to word that much.

We disagree, I don't hate you and you certainly don't need to get personal, it's shoes, on the internet.

Also, very clever in ripping on the Dostoevsky, except that I was referencing Simone Weil referencing Dostoevsky, which I believe (I'd have to check the guide that came in my admissions package) is intellectually obscure enough to make it a douche reference.

  5. I can't beleive U steppin....

    HOLY SHIT, WHAT A TRANSGRESSION.

And you accuse my comments approaching absurdity while you speak in circles defending middle class consumer values?

    That's right.

I think you imagine yourself such an elitest and in a class of your own that you feel compelled to defend the plebes out of your own emptiness. How desperate and pitiful.

Statements that purport to reveal the motives of another poster and then extend to make assumptions about the state of their lives usually follow the form "you're just talking shit to make u feel better cause ur loser who gets no girls lolol", the fact that you used proper grammar and the word "plebes" doesn't mean that this isn't the tiredest trope on the internet.

    I

If you truly beleive that sneakers are simply just sneakers, then it follows that pants are just pants. Why then bother seeking out MM or DH as advertised in your sig? This strikes me as extremely hypocritical. You are the absurd one, living in contradiction.

The killing strike! So clean! So perfect! So logically sound! How will I ever live now, knowing that I sit in the shadow of contradiction. On the one hand, I think cheap sneakers are ok, on the other, I desire artisan quality pantaloons. The pressure of cognitive dissonance is building against the walls of my skull. Must I live like Simone Weil? Forever caught between the Karamazovain instinct to reject suffering, and the Catholic ideal of accepting the perfection of god? Two powerful and opposing forces? (oh my, I must have learned that at some lumberjack ivy!).

I actually hesitated in making my original post because I suspected within the next day or so I would be receiving an annoyingly wordy reply that accused me of multiple hilarious errors in logic for saying what amounted to "assigning an aesthetic theory to cover sneakers is dumb".

That is my only comment. I was not meaning to attack anything to do with your logic, just to make clear what most people were thinking anyway. Delving into the brand representation and high minded ideals when discussing sneakers immediately triggers a pragmatist impulse. Perhaps it's just a matter of perspective, but that's all the post was meant to offer.

    Thoughts on this MMM jacket?

I like it, but am not 100% sure. I need a jacket, and the new Robert Geller toggle parka, short version is something I'm looking into as well, but the MMM jacket is 50% less. So maybe?

    The jury is out :)

Get the MMM if only because everyone and their fucking mother is going to be rocking that RoGeller steez this season.

I was one of his biggest proponents since the first collection but I'm only getting two pieces this season, it's got to cool off a little.

  7. I care about what people think? Lol.

The only people who read your responses are the very people you purport not to be affected by. There is no-one else in this equation. Communicating with them is an engagement of your time which could be spent otherwise. Either you care what people think, or your time is worthless, you may enlighten me as to which one is true, I have considered both an option.

  8. I'm going to neg the hell out of the next generic Ronnell-hate post I see. Dude has been posting fits almost every day for a year, he clearly gives no fuck what y'all think. Quiet yourselves.

There is a mountain of text equal to that found in an average patent lawsuit in the WAYWT shit talking thread that consists entirely of Ronnel caring what people think.

  9. Snip novel

I know we like to ascribe things like authenticity and high-mindedness to explain why designer items are above the immaturity and capital driven antics of the common market, but honestly sir, those are a pair of sneakers. The crafting such a vehement response is equaled in absurdity only by your willingness to defend brands with quadruple the pricepoint on the basis that the REST of their catalogue better suits your sensibilities.

Sneakers friend, sneakers. If you like a pair, buy them, the fact that they may have produced an iron maiden colorway doesn't really ruin my enjoyment of a simple pair of eras.
