i thought Hedi Slimane just liked APC jeans while he was at Dior Homme, and made jeans like them. who really knows, who really cares.

Person who developed these cuts for APC has been said to have quit his job at APC, went to Dior and then made the exact same cuts for Dior.that is highly doubtful

Hey guys im looking for my next pair of denim!
Which one should I get?
Warehouse 660 vs Sams 710?
warehouse if you want lighter, smoother denim
samurai if you want heavier, rougher denim

i think i will go for the 710 as my next pair of jeans. the fit of the cut and character of the denim look great

hmm.. if size 33 can stretch to 35" after soaking and stretching, then maybe i will be ok with a sz 33 then...
everyinchofgod, how does the top block feel? like the rise, crotch, thigh area. not too tight?

...you'll be better off with a 34... May be tight in the beginning, but they'll stretch out just fine after about half a day's worth of wear.
As a reference point, my skull 5010's are a 33 and I have the 710's in a 34 and they fit great...
Hope this helps...
My recent experience makes me think you should go with a 33. You didn't mention your waist size, but my understanding with Skulls is they are a pretty slim fit, and the 710's aren't really all that slim-fitting. Measure your waist where you wear your jeans, and buy whichever size has that measurement RAW, because they will stretch back out at least to the raw measurement.I've read almost this entire thread in the last two weeks and there's a lot of conflicting advice. A lot of people say to go TTS, but I also see a lot of people who went TTS saying they should have sized down one. I'm not saying my opinion is more valid than anyone else here, but I'm glad I sized down. It was a bit painful the first day, but it was worth it.
thank you both for your input!
everyinchofgod,
im usually a size 33 or 34 depending on brand. i measured the waist of my worn-in jeans and most measure between 34-35 inches. you think i can still go with a size 33 in the 710?

hey guys, im hoping i can find some help here. i wear a size 34 in skull 5010 6x6, it is just slightly big in the waist (maybe by one size) but the rest is great. i've never worn samurai's before, is it safe for me to get a size 33 in the 710? or should i stick with a sz 34? thx

I havent bought a pair of Japanese jeans in a few years, a lot of things have changed. I was wondering, where can I still get Samurai 710 with arcs and tabs, and will ship to the US? if anyone could please help, would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

How does the sizing work on those chippewa's?
I got a size 9.5 in these Chippewa boots and they are very comfortable. none of my other boots are this comfy. for comparison, i wear 9 in Redwing GT, 9.5 in Clarks desert boots, 9.5 in chucks, 10 in doc martens. you could PM me if you have any specific questions.

just got these Chippewa's, super comfy and very beautiful in person. these are my first engineer boots, i'm more accustomed to lace up boots.. so i had a question. is it normal for the upper part to fit slightly loosely? i mean, it's kind of loose above the ankle (even on the smallest hole on the upper leather strap).

i'd recommend he get a pair of jeans that better suit his body type. the long tshirt that covers his ass makes him look like a midget. get a pair of wider denim and then sag them. it'll look much bettertotally agree.
not trying to be mean here, but those PS don't suit you, they're too skinny for your frame and they emphasis your thick thighs. Your shirt goes all the way down to your thigh, and covers both your back pockets - not a flattering look, makes you look short and really top heavy. return it and get something looser.

i don't doubt that the joe mccoy 906 are great jeans, but i'm just not sure if they are "contest-worthy", ya know what i mean? nothing really sets them apart from what someone else said "run of the mill repro jeans".

^i would agree. i thought the "theme" of this contest to make it unique was left hand twill denim. without that, it's just another regular contest, especially if it's just a jean in a cut/denim that is already widely available.

thinking about ordering some samurai 0500's
i saw the sizing advice in the first post of the Samurai page but i wasn't sure which Lot# it was referring to...
i wear size 31 apc ns, size 33 skull 5010 6x6, and most my jeans have stretched out to around a 34-35" waist. would i be correct in saying 0500xx in size 33 would be best? or 32?

If i wear fit perfectly in size 9.5 in clarks desert boots, what size Alden Indy boots (tru-balance last) would fit me best?
thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

man if CBD posed for a front view shot instead and showed off her gap or a potential camel, nobody would be complaining about those shorts!
