  1. I was holding myself back from commenting in this thread since its conception BUT I just can't help myself. Persistence is one thing but not getting the point in another.

Ultimately all facets of your brand will not appeal to ANYONE who is a regular on this forum. I have been here no longer then a week but this is clear to me. Doing research on a web forum is a great idea – its free, visible to a wide range of people and you get results instantly but you have to carefully choose who you communicate with and what info you take on board otherwise it’s a disaster.

The style of clothes, method of manufacture, form/s of marketing and all the branding you will have to pursue to make R.E a successful company are all basically the opposite of what the better half of the SF community have any interest in. Using any of our suggestions in tastes of fashion etc will most certainly skew your true business path and you will end up with a product that doesn’t appeal to ANY market. Find a better forum; post there and then get a professional business analyst to point you in the right direction.

Just like true designer fashion, alternate fashion (like R.E) is very competitive and you are embarking on a hard task. All the best with it though and honestly good luck.

  2. I've been a windows user since always and my girlfriend has been a mac user. I've started using her pro and it is very user friendly even for a beginer with NO prior mac experience.

hey sorry to jack ur thread

but, ive been thinking hard about getting a macbook pro recently. i have an ibm think pad atm the moment and tbh im pretty bored with windows.. slow.. virus prone etc. has anyone recently gone from a windows comp to a mac with only having basic user experience?

also with the macbook pros.. do you pay $100+ for the black one just for it being black or does it have extras?

    thanks in advance

  3. I dont know what the current collection is like but Marc Newson's range for G-star is fairly slim fitting - the tops are anyway.

He usually likes his prints and patterns though but its worth a try.

  4. Just go to a really good tailor/alterations place and discuss it with them. I'm sure it can be done fairly easily but there is always a risk with getting something altered.

  5. may i know where is the shop?

Dude, he is yanking your crank. If you want a trucker hat thats a street brand go to a streetwear store. Seems like a simple procedure to me... You say you in Melb? Maybe try Fat - i think trucker hats are a bit passe for them though.

  6. Where can I get cheap mondays in Sydney? I've seen them in one little store on Liverpool street but poor size range... any ideas?

I emailed Cheap Monday directly and they replied moment later with a stockist email for Aust. Emailed the stockist and no reply! If there is a stockist you think they would be available somewhere!!

  7. I posted this in SuperJetset also - hoping to get better responses re: shopping here...

I'm going to all of these destinations early next year, a run down of what each city is good for in terms of shopping, nightclubs/bars, day spas and anything else of interest would be good.

I terms of shopping I want to do luxury stores - Gucci, LV, Dior Homme etc, designer streetwear & denim and also any interesting local brands that I can't get in Sydney. Possibly electronics too.

Nightlife i want to check out underground clubs - Indie Rock or Electro. If anyone is familiar with Sydney club nights something similar to bang gang, purple sneakers, kink and electric disco - anything thats not too commercial.

    All suggestions appreciated!
