  1. Hello all,

I'm looking to sell these three Dior Homme pieces I bought in Paris in summer of 2004; all three are from the AW '05 collection. Please PM me for any questions or for more detailed photos, etc.

    1) Size: medium

    Made in Turkey

I've worn this several times over the last few years, and have always hand washed the shirt. There are the signature darts on the back shoulder.

    Asking price: $85 OBO

    2) Size: medium

    Made in Turkey

One side of the tag has become unstitched but can easily be sewn back on. There are the signature darts on the back shoulder.

    Asking price: $75 OBO

    3) Size: small

    Made in Italy

This was one of the most unique pieces on the collection. It has a deep hoodie along with an attached wrap-around scarf. I wore this only three times in its life.

    Asking price: $170 OBO

  2. insanely naive... do you have any idea about prices of anything in london?

uhhh yeah. hostel prices in london range from 15 pounds to about 30 pounds. 25 is within that range. I asked about hostels. not hotels.

  3. Hello All-- I'll be going to London this weekend, and I'm still looking for a cheap place to stay. Any recommendations? I'm going with a friend and we're thinking about paying around 25 pounds each per night, and hopefully being able to find a private room with that price. Is that an insane request? Anyway, thanks in advance!

  4. The best way to find out what's going on is to pick up a Zitty or a Tip magazine. They are updated weekly, and have information on gallery openings, where djs are, and concerts, and so on...You can pick them up at any newstand.

For clubbing: It really depends on the night, and that is why you have to check those magazines. Some clubs are open only once a week or once every two weeks for special events. Besides the Berghaim/Panorama, which always has an impressive lineup of djs and is always crowded (though sat. is better than fri.), everything else is sort of mediocre unless they have a good night. Weekend has a great view of berlin since it is on the 15th floor. Generally, the nightlife is a little better in the summer since the clubs on the river (bar 25, ect) are open...I think they are closed for the year now, though.

For great shopping, just check out the guide superfuture has; it's fairly complete! oh! For a great coffee/cake break, go to Rochstrasse in mitte--there is a cute little cafe in there!

Have fun in my favorite city!

  5. yea i defended EVERY post right? i admit i did defend a bunch of them but like i said before i was at school and i had free for the last 2 hours of it

I spent the last 10 minutes reading this thread, and I've come to the conclusion that you're cute. is this okay with you?

  6. Sorry if this has been asked a bunch of times already. I just bought some new cures, and the length seems to be pretty long ( and I have long legs). Do you guys just have it stack at the bottom, cuff them, or tailor them? Thanks in advance...

    'hell bent & determined'

one of two; i've got "fare o non fare" on the inside of my left bicep, which is 'do or do not do' in italian...

Hate to be technical, but a more literal translation is "to do or not to do"

  8. Greetings!

If I've misplaced this post in the wrong category, my apologies.

I'll be in Berlin from the end of June until the end of September, and currently I am searching for a room to stay in. Do any of you have a place to rent or know someone who needs to rent out a room?

    Thanks in advance!

  9. the prices are certanly a bit exhorbitant thats ture, although you must remeber that the dollar is crap atm and in europe clothes are always more expensive anyway

the last time I checked, dior homme is cheaper in paris than it is in the US. Prada is cheaper in Rome than in the US. Items sold in the country of origin are usually cheaper than imported goods in most, if not all cases.

  10. I forgot the name of the place I went to, but its a nice tendy salon in chinatown. ~100 or so yards from the Fung wah bus stop. They do an AWESOME job. The name starts with a J. Jun I think it is.

the Fung wah! I took that once...supposedly it used to be very shady, operating from the back of an abandoned chinese bakery? there were also a couple of occasions where the bus flipped, and another time the engine caught on fire....not to mention that NONE of the drivers had bus permits???? It's a great deal though for 15 bucks to boston....

  11. I've lived in Italy, so I'm quite partial to it; I'm familiar with it, so I will give you a top 5 of the best cities in Italy

    1.) Rome

    2.) Milan

    3.) Taormina (in Sicily)

    4.) Bologna

    5.) Florence

Outside of Italy, include Berlin, Paris, Amsterdam, and Barcelona

  12. I go to Hairmates in NYC...there are 2 locations in NYC and 1 in Japan, and most, if not all of their hair stylists are Japanese--they do a great job! Just google hairmates + nyc, and check out the site.
