I am not really sure, but isn't the 505 origin from USA and the customized 505 is from Japan?
where is the sense?

i just won these on ebay and it turns out to be about $90 USD
i was not sure if i should go with the japan or grycasts but these popped up on ebay
and i had to bid on them.
my question is, are japans that much better than the greycasts?
should i pass on the greycasts for japans?
it seems that your are a lucky man, good price for a jeans, that you can't buy anymore.
the japan fades like the regular ralf, straight sven or baggy bjoern. that means it fades more dark blue. obvious the best fadings you can get. you gotte use them before wash. a cold soak would also be possible..
the dry greycast fades more and faster during your usage... but the color is cool, a mix from blue and grey, much more lighter than the japan ones.
so, if you have them for 90 USD shipped to you, be satisfied to have them...
have a great time with them

hi,
there should be an inside tag, where you could see the jeans number and year of production.
is anything in, may be the backside of the already shown tag.
I have looked in the 135 anniversary book of levi's, unfortunately nothing in.
thnx in advance

hi,
here are some information from the levi'S book.

it was a very limited production run, where tagged size and measured size were around 2'' up (waist anf inseam).
I only had one in 33-36, measured 35-40.
In don't know, if I could get some again...

Hi Paul,
the 33's is true to size in this collcetion, but the 1947 is undersized, to my mind till 2''.
I will be very happy getting more information about the sizing of LVC.
Selling LVC online is sometimes a challenge due to the sizings of the cuts.
may be I could also get some useful information.
thnx in advance

if we compare the jeans from the actual collcetion. the 1955's seems to be a touch stiffer with a darker indigo. seems to be the favourite one.
also LVC had limited 55's of this collcetion with much more indigo and inseam till 40''.
on the Tag is printed the LVC No. # 550550160, does anyone get some. normally you only have 501xx on it.
I am still trying to get one for myself...

bought last year from the evisu online store a jean for around 260 GBP shipped.
it was a so called vintage version.
I was so dissapointed about the cut and the quality, that from this time I do not care about evisu, although some of my friends wear some and they look nice.
but my experience was another one, like so many people.
another point is, that so much cheap fakes around.
