hey guys, here is the final judgement of cultizm.

The winner is jyoni, he won a 500 USD store credit in stuff and a visit at Levi HQ Archive in the US, SF. If you are interested in the visit, pls let me know and we will provide you the contact details how to organise this trip with LVC.

I am not 100% sure, but I read several times that the LVC 1947 was adopted to the nowadays.

The original 1947 cut you could find in the 1947 sugarcane.

two questions:

a. if I break in my jeans for around 6 month, and soak them after that the 1st time for at least a few minutes, will they shrink too?

b. I like to wear my jeans with turnups, how I could prevent "breaking the denim"

Latest information / correct information.

1927

Leather patch is much more thicker

lighter yarn, almost white

back pockets are bit longer, they seems much more bigger

1927 the red selvage was introduced

No NRA Tag

The 1927 comes with a Grant Prize label, which is attached to the back waistband

and can be ripped of by the wearer.

The Grand Prize had been given to LS & Co. products at the 1915

Panama Pacific International Exposition in SF, CA.

for me it looks like a standard (straight) cut

there'll will be in RAW and Waded wash,

the waded wash looks like a one year's carfeful wear.

to my mind the indigo shade will be much more darker, if you do it yourself.

both have belt loops and donut buttons.

the shrinkage seems to be a touch lower than the last years..

We had never an intention to do "false" advertisment.

to my mind you should see the Year and Season of Production.

Also you should see the individual Number of the jeans, eg 356999

This should be found on nowadays production run.

We are in years in this business, but made in italy is totally new.

It could be a special production, but I am not sure.

Year and sizing has to be on the leater tag, so fas as I know..

they don't look great, do they? Does the tag inside give a year of production? It will say something like S1 07, next to a line like 643M and the sizing. Is the design on the two-horse patch stamped in, or just printed on?

While they look legit, lots of details are weird; no sizing or Lot No printed on leather patch, differnet stitching and margins on the leather patch, a new internal tag, and a weird finish. The current 1947 washed 501s on sale in Europe are made in Turkey, but these are made in the US. I'm not impressed. I wonder if eBay vendors are maybe selling off factory seconds or other rejects?. Either way, I'd rather buy from a proven supplier and be sure about what I get...

47501-0117 is normally the rigid version.

xx--0117 is a rigid indication - this style is made in USA, no matter where sold.
