Thanks for all this input. I should have been more precise from the start though. First off I'm located in NYC Thanks lithiumsys, I heard some Funcolands were taken in under Game Stop, so I should definitely look around there. Burnt DC games are what killed my first 2 Dreamcasts, so I'm willing to pay for legitimate games.
Kasper , I don't think there is any chance of me being in Japan the the near (or even distant) future, but I should definitely muster up the nerve to ask one of my online friends if they can send games my way.
Now let me talk about the games I need. Most of the ones I'm looking for I already had, but they got damaged somehow. Primarily I'm looking for Jet Grind Radio, above all. I'd also want Soul Calibur and Sonic Adventures 1 and 2. Some games I never had but also want are Street Fighter III, Power Stone 1 and/or 2. Some pipe dreams are Vampire Chronicles (Darkstalker game) and Napple Tale.
I thought I was done with games all together, but I just cant beat the nostaligic feeling they give.

A good resource is www.thejapanesepage.com
^ I used to visit this page often, and I thought it was pretty good.
I also have a space that provides some very useful links as well on my MSN Space.
I still got a long ways to go, but when I first started learning Japanese, I used websites as a sole means of education. You wouldn't believe it, but you really can learn quite a lot of Japanese and engage in basic conversation without even buying a book. Some of these site are literally online books.
Going to Japanese/English chat rooms is another great way to sharpen your skill and pick up a few modern phrases as well (I always ask for the "old man gags" though). You might even make friends that you can meet up with.

Thanks guys. I was hoping that somewhere out there, someone would know of some secret treasure trove of gaming goodness, but I guess eBay is all I got.
By the way, it is "treasure trove", right?

Didn't know where to put this, but I'm currently looking for old Dreamcast games and I want to know if any of you guys know of any good spots in the real world to start hunting.
Funcoland doesn't exist anymore I think and the last time I asked for a Dreamcast game in stores (maybe 4 years ago) I was virtually laughed at. Please turn my dreams into reality.

Oops, did I say 20? I meant 300...

It's just you. Everyone who joins a message board thinks that the people who joined after them are dumber than they are.
So true, but not only does join date have a direct correlation to one's intelligence, but so does post count!
well said by a guy who has 17 posts. assuming you are a guy.."everything about them is consciously ironic"
eat his asshole
People can't just join a board and already have insightful comments and helpful contributions to give, they need to satisfy the 20 post requirement before making worth-while posts.

I'm not comfortable with this cross-board posting deal.Me too. Cross-forum drama is bad.
Let's stick to our own.
Ya, me three.---me four.
i think we're being discouraged from cross boards posting. I think even in supertrash that's not allowed.ugh.please stop posting (then quoting and re-quoting) shit from the cobrasnake and misshapes on this forum... anyone who wants snarky commentary on these fucktards can go read blue states lose...
as mentioned, please refrain from posting pics from other forums.if youre gonna post pics from other forums at least make sure theyre funnyHmm, I don't know guys, I think someone needs to say something against cross forum posting in this thread.

I really love your hair
Me too.
Omega- I totally agree, I wish these were a bit looser. I recently got caught in the rain and they tightened up even more! Should've got the size up, oh well. I love how they fit in the ankle, the rest is too much.AA Henley Thermal
Brooks Brothers Vintage button-up
APC New Cures
Converse Monochrome Hi-tops
International Pop Underground pin
Even though they still look as skinny as they did yesterday, your jeans don't "bother" me at all this time. Something about the last post seemed off to me, but this fit is definitely a good 'un.
*note to self, never post in the same thread as oomegaoo...again*

Thrift shirt (wide grey and white stripes)
Thrift tie
Express sweater
APC jeans
Thrift wingtips
I can't remember who it was that asked me how tall I was a day or two ago, but if you're still reading, I'm 6'4". I'm a 32" waist though so I'm not actually as thin as I look.
Damn you tall guys, you look like you're taller than the door! If I was just 4 more inches taller....no make that 5", I'd get an unreeasonable sense of self-satisfaction.
When I went out with my bro today (the non-oOmegaOo one), he picked up the same sweater as you dokydoky, and you're wearing it well. Good look.
Icarus, to each his own is the unwritten way of waywt, but I really think those jeans are a bit too skinny. But if that is the look you're going for (and logic permits no other deduction), then keep on doing you.

Looking good, but are you and oOMegaOo the same person?
Actually, it has been establshed that me and oOmegaOo are two members of a set of triplets. So, I can't blame anyone for coming to the same conclusion that you did, haha.

^ No, I'm pretty sure he was talking to jmatsu. I understand sean_ but I also see what J is trying to say though.

a proper villian - Witts! Is that you???
wing - I'm loving that get-up. The shoes could have been different but that's still a top fit
B i z z y- You are definitely a welcome addition to the future, I really liked the boots from your last fit and this post is too great. The color choices were spot on.
And then there's me:
h&m jacket, uniqlo turtleneck, uniqlo pants, leather cons

^^Blues, Ive got the same pair of black leather all stars, (albeit mine are 3 years old and beat) I cant really see any other laces for 'em? They look good as is, keep'em all black .
Thanks paradigm_shift. The black ones I'm keeping all black, but the black and white ones, I was having a hard time choosing between plain white laces or black laces with white trimming (the plain black ones didnt look right). I decided to go with the black with white trim
superdupersang, I think those shoes look pretty good to me
Berget__, I give you props for the DIY hoodie

I went with one of my brothers and got to the place around 01:00 (the line only went from the 5th floor to the 3rd floor), didnt see anything either of us liked. Maybe we got there too late but I doubt it.

^ Anyone truly interested would have done that, but I guess le cat is out of ze bag.
I said this before, but there are some things here that interest me, but I need to know how this is coordinated. I hope the quality of the clothes look as good as the models make it seem.

Thanks for the advice Massy. I know that good credit is a must have, creating the ineveitable need for me to get my own card. When I do get one, I'll be sure to post my thousand dollar debt when I get it.

Black monochrome leather All-Stars
Black and white leather All-Stars. I didnt like the black laces these came with, but I'm having a bit of trouble deciding which laces to use, suggestions are welcome.

I was interested in this thread because I wanted to read more about the perils faced and the meals sacrificed by people with overwhelming credit card debt and how they paid (or don't pay) it off. But half the posts come from people who pay the bill on time (cheers you guys) and teenagers who get mommy to pay the balance for them at the end of the month. What a let down.
That out of the way ,I don't even own a credit card, because I'm way too paranoid, I dont have the money to support my desired spending habits and I know they want to screw me. ¬.¬

This may not help much considering I haven't been to Japan, but I've read about shops in Harajuku called Meno, Chicago and Oriental Bazaar, they all sell vintage clothes. Other possiblities are the Salvation Army in Shinjuku or even some stores in Azabu Juban. I read that Azabu juban has some places that buy/sell pre-worn items (but I hear that area is kinda upscale, so they may be picky). Of course I can't say anything about what is acually sold at these places or how it's done, good luck

^ No, I think the problem is that he just can't stop talking.
Edit: I think that cmirsky's fit is fine, hair and all. Sure the pose threw me off a bit, but like Lib (↓) said, who here doesn't pose nor where the same kind of clothes cmir's wearing?

I'm planning to get a coat this weekend and I see a lot of coats that I like but I want to know if anyone knows where to get a nice peacoat (or a nice wool long/slim winter coat) specifically within NYC. If any of you guys picked up something nice, or seen anything while walking around, let me know. I really want to limit myself to a $200 coat, but it can be a bit more.
Thanks.
