I think thats almost 7 months now, 3 washes, one was at 2 months, the others some time after.. thinking about doing another soon.. shitty phone cam pic... the fade is generally just an 'all over' fade in areas of wear, not really any whiskers or anything.. probably have something to do with the first wash at 2 months, after being soft, its hard to get pronounced wear on these

I think everyone decided that the fit has be regular to appeal to the masses, so I think thats pretty much such... If we are steering away from repro, then the rise should be mid, or low, not a high waisted pair like most repros. I think that alone would make a nice basic cut jean, then we can go nuts on selvedge colors, tabs, patches, lined pockets etc, oh and of course the denim

also, i dont think this pair could possibly be really 'trendy', as hjj said.. I disagree with that... since its made in really small numbers, thats not really possible - unless its pre distressed with a serious boot cut or something

can someone explain to me exactly what 'modern' means? from what Ive seen, all modern jeans are low rise (which is good), and either straight or boot cut

Personally, Ive never liked the fit of repro fits because of the high waist and hip flare, so this could be perfect for me, a straight legged jean in low rise to be worn on the hips or something... of course it comes down to whether its gonna be in sammy, or in sugarcane

seriously, everyone shows too much love for the 19cm and new standard though, I dont think 19cm cut or new standard appeals to everyone, especially if we want 100 (even though it probably wont be hard) I would prefer a more versatile 'straight leg cut' thats more modern with a lower rise... i think universally that would be best, can be sized up, down or right

thats just my opinion

i'm not into the skinny leg trend so i looked around for some looser cuts. for raw japanese, check out:

these are all pretty much regular, straight leg fuller cuts. i wouldn't go much looser because too loose = poor wrinkles/combs

this is half true, for whiskers loose jeans are generally better, for combs, they have a different shape and are usually less pronounced

definitely dry bones guitar wolfs, cdp-555

great pockets and a looser regular fit... they take FOREVER to fade though, almost 8 months and not that much fading (havent worn them alot though)

edit, I see you piced some up, chances are thats what you got cause i know take 5 sells them

for that price might as well get a redmoon or wildswans, especially if people are making a custom wallet based on these models anyways... just my opinion

cool concept though, if we can come up with something thats unique; but the way this thread is headed, we seem to be gravitating towards the basic thick saddle leather in a long wallet with a braid look
