  1. haha i noticed that about my buttons as well.. Very nice touch...

I completely agree with klue, my pair has seen 3 washes and they hold their color well... Not saying that i experience 1/10 of the activity that Klue does..

    Ken,

Wash number 4 is coming before i start work on June 1st...

  2. awesome stuff fellas..

I really hope klue's pair makes it to the end.. They look fantastic

Ended up getting dirty while working on my car yesterday, brushed it off and was hoping to keep them going

Tonight, sewer's got backed up and i was bucketing water out of my basement... FML

    Wash number 3....April 20th, 2009

  3. Salaami,

Sadly there is a limit. My APC's are just about finished, i think there was a total of 3 or 4 crotch rips/blowouts... But im all for running them to the ground..

Klue, wish i could spread some rep. Absolutely nuts.

Its going to end up with 2 months of wear, and throwing them into the corner until the year ends, and theyll still look more worn than most the jeans..

I really hope they last at least 6 months, but i really doubt it..

    +invisible rep

  4. what's going to be amazing is if either of the pairs last a year

    Amen,

If those gold jeans make it the year, they will look absolutely nuts..

Are we doing pics on a monthly basis? or is it post when you want to?

Can someone repost the link for the blog? thanks

  5. longboarding miles up hill will give you wicked wiskers, especially top speed. but most of the fading is from climbing trees, buildings and monuments

it looks awesome but at the same time doesn't look any good?

what do you mean by messing around??

The denim looks awesome, the customization looks iffy at best. Im pretty sure most of the people who bought these, wanted to bring back the vintage fit/wear thats associated with a cut like this. As for the messing around, i mean picking at holes so you have something to repair.

Afterall, it is a contest. Do what you have to in order to win.

  6. if you skated HARD in them for like 8 hrs a day or more, and do hiking, and other mad strenuous activities, its possible. like on some steve-o wild boys shit. dont hate people. these two have unique pairs, and at least if you have an aversion to theirs it should spurn an equal appreciation for the more 'standard' contest denims...what they eat dont make you shit!

but i must ask.....how many washes?

    Salaami,

I skated my APCs for a solid 3 months, and i mean 8-10 hour days and 6-7 times a week. And in all that time, i didnt come close to getting the wear this dude has gotten in the two weeks..

Somethings a bit fishy. The denim looks absolutely awesome, but there was too much messing around with it to make them look any good..

To each their own i guess....

ANYWAY, anyone know what the winner gets ? :D

  7. Kind of retarded to bleach a material that is meant to be durable. And judging by how worn the denim is after such a short period of time, I say that there will be more repairs than original denim on the jeans, come say, august.

Do you, its unfortunate you bleached them, as theyre looking absolutely nuts, fade wise. And your buddy.. not only did his post make no sense, he managed to ruin his denim... Im just glad i wasnt awaiting my pair when i saw it..

  8. Number 69 Checking in... Start date 3.6.2009 pic to come soon..

Arcs are done, decided to go with an FC influenced oni style arc. First time sewing (other than the tab) and it took a while. Ultimately, very satisfied. No more slim cuts for me.

  9. Tabris,

Luckily i just uploaded some pictures:

    3327092998_23fc9fd4f8.jpg?v=0

Broke the stitching, then pulled it through to the back and tied it.

Now the tab was put it, (it was folded in half, then the side that is hidden was folded over a little to make the tab fit deeper)

    Mid-stitch

Finished product (keep in mind this was the first time sewing, ever)

From now on all repairs will be done on my own, its way too rewarding.

P.S. my whore (not ready to start just yet though)
