  1. If I lived in Hong Kong I think I'd drink about 5 gallons of Taro Vitasoy a day. It's been 7 months since I've been there and I'm still having withdrawls.

If anyone knows how or where to get this in the states please share.

  2. SOLD

For sale, a pair of UK sz 8 (US size 9) Helmut Lang canvas sneakers. Canvas exterior, leather interior. These things are solid, extremely well constructed. Made in Italy.

These are used, but in really great condition. The sole is almost perfect (aside from a few scuffs on the sides and toe). The interior looks brand new, and the canvas looks almost brand new. See the pictures for detail shots.

I am asking SOLD paid via Paypal, shipped priority to the continental US. International orders please PM if interested.

These run a bit big. The outer sole measures 11.9 inches. The insole measures 10.9 inches.

Sorry the pics are a little bright, my apartment has shitty lighting and my camera has a crappy flash. The shoes are black.

Thanks for looking, please let me know if you have any questions!

  3. yeah I know what you mean about the flash, kinda forgot, I was referring to the hems. if yours were the streaky ds, I'd buy them.

Yea not sure how the hems got that little tear in them.

Anyways, I forgot to mention I'm also open to reasonable offers!

  4. those look really beat for one weeks wear.

Eh? There's almost no fading aside from the cuffs and the back pocket, no more than what would normally come up in about a week. Also remember that camera flash makes stuff appear a bit more faded. The shots of the entire jean are the best indication of how much these have been worn.

  5. I bought these jeans a few months back, then lost a bunch of weight, so now they're too big for me! My loss is your gain, pick up these awesome jeans for a fantastic price!

These were (gently) worn for about a week total. The waist area has stretched out a bit, so these will fit a true 34-35 waist. There is minor wear on the cuffs, and very faint wallet wear. There are also very faint honeycombs.

I am asking $110 shipped priority within the lower 48, paid via paypal. My paypal address is ruddct at gmail dot com.

  6. That reminds me of that John Stewart book "America" where it praises Russian women for their beautiful young women and their hearty older women and the speed at which one becomes the other haha

Too true. All of eastern europe is like this...

  7. I completely agree with the OP.

That said, in this regard, the average stylish person who almost exclusively thrifts all their clothes is to the average superfuturian as the average superfuturian is to the person who exclusively buys uber-luxury brands.

Why do people here spend $300 on jeans as opposed to buying $30 thrifted jeans? Fit and quality, for sure, but it also helps that most of the posters here are in a financial situation where they can afford to drop $300 on jeans. This probably seems completely insane to the thrifter.

It's the exact same thing with people who buy super luxury brands. Are they in a situation where they feel they can blow $2000 on a sweater? Given the fit, details, quality and brand, probably. Does this seem crazy to me/you/99% of the population? Of course. But, to some people money isn't a factor, and for those buying these brands when money is a factor, they've probably adjusted their lifestyles to accomodate for their tastes. Is it any more crazy than spending $50000 on a BMW and pimping it out for another $20k? If you look at fashion as a hobby (in the same line as cars, etc), the prices that those people pay start to look a little more reasonable.
