  1. After week(s) of me bitching to Hugtherapist for absolutely no reason, I received my Dior 21cm Italian raws and can say I am in love for the first time with a pair of denim (samurai's were close). I've read through this thread on countless occasions and there were some negative sentiments towards the 21cm fit, but these are beautiful (maybe its because I didnt have to pay that much of a price for a minimally worn pair of diors). Anyways just thought I'd add my 2 cents.

  2. I'm seriously asking this, but if christians don't believe in Jesus, who do they believe in, and why is "christ" in their name?

    Stupid, yes, mostly about religion.

This is from my point of view, but if they don't believe in Jesus then they're not really christians. That being said, I think christianity has gotten so broad in terms of tolerance and views (kind of reverting back to cheap's reply) that it's hard to discern.

Well that's my 2 cents at least.

  3. i am really confused about the size differents of Dior Denim...

one Evisu denim i bought before is 34X35, about 43cm across ,

but when i look up dior on http://www.rakuten.co.jp, size 30 is about 84cm(42 across).....?

so if i buy a pair of Dior on Luisaviaroma.com, which size would it be? the Dior Denim Size?

    http://luisaviaroma.com/ecnew/Collections/SchedaProd.aspx?Outlet=False&CodStagione=44I&CodCollezione=06V&CodArticolo=8#

    thanks

    peace...

Why don't you just go by the measurements. You can see the measurements off Luisaviaroma right above the size, click on the little info button and it will give you measurements. You're referring to the washed jeans and not the raw denim right?

  4. I think we'd all agree it's our civic duty to do good in this world. Whether by donating money, donating time, whatever.

Carl, I think where people take exception is that we -- as guys who spend countless hours discussing $250 jeans -- are some of the most frivolous people on the planet. And you acknowledge that the money we spend on clothes is ridiculous, so it's not like you have to be educated on the irony.

The point is: no matter what good we do, we're still wasting too much time and energy on clothing to have the authority to preach to others.

I understand the logic behind this, but what I got from Carl was the amount of money actually spent on the vehicle...it's a little difficult comparing a $400,000 car to a pair of $250 jeans (well for me at least)...

  5. that's weird. Did they have many pieces other than jeans?

    also: hello Edmonton person

No, unfortunately they only carried a few pairs of New Standards and New cures..I would've liked to have seen more stuff but even the salesdude didnt really know what APC was..I just assumed since Edmonton was carrying APC that some of the larger cities would be relatively similar..

Are you from Edmontont too Ott?

Jay$, if I were you I would just find a pair that you like..read up on it as much as you can so you can get a general idea for sizing..follow others' advice and do some measurement on your own and then go to the appropriate store/person and order...and if worse comes to worse it isnt all that hard unloading denim on this forum...ive taken a few hits on some purchases (re-selling) but in the end its led me to some pretty wirked denim..man since I've joined this damn forum I've ordered so many jeans and all that I have to show for it is a pair of APC NS (and imperials and diors hopefully to arrive this week)...but the majority of people on here and so damn friendly and helpful..especially 2000db if you want Japanese, sam113 for imperials and others and mauro mainly for APC..

  6. holt renfew here in Edmonton started carrying APC, so I'm going to assume that the other stores across canada have or will start carrying a limited quantity soon...i just tried them on in store and then purchased off a fellow sf user..price at holt was 210CAD..cheaper to go through mauro from denimbar.
