  1. - downfall, as mentioned above.

    - half nelson, not playing in too many theaters around LA but i saw it at the Laemle in Pasadena.

    - the proposition, easily my favorite movie this year

  2. Can anyone share the love on this one? Wanting to purchase asap. :)

    Cheers

i have these in 26, when i get home tonight if i have a chance i'll take measurements for you.

  3. IN LA -

Best: HTC on Beverly/Martel. Scott and Ambie there are really, really helpful and very nice people that make shopping there really pleasant.

Worst: the worst fucking people work at fred segal and barney's in south coast. they don't seem to know anything about any of their products most of the time and anything opposite of this description is usually a rarity.

i also thought i'd add in Factory People...i've ordered online from them and they're quick, responsive and nice.

  4. Any others? C'mon LA folks, help me out. 28 views and 1 reply? C'mon now. All you guys say LA is the place to be but no one has anywhere to go. LAME

^ thank you for your help

i'm not really familiar with any hiphop spots but i know of other fun clubs/lounges. On Thursdays there's transistor at the grand star - really nice environment, fun people, its a bit of a mod-type place but unless you're really not all too open to something different you may not find it enjoyable. i dunno. there's underground on fridays...which is another fun small place that plays good music...somewhat similar to transistor. again, they don't play hiphop, so i'll stop here and if you're interested in whatever other places i know pm me.

  5. seeing comets on fire tonight... for free. (gotta love having a brother that works at a record store -- endless supply of comp tickets...)

i saw them the other night in LA...i thought the live performance was great, i had missed ben chasny's solo show as six organs a few weeks prior so it was a good way to make up for it.

  6. Good deal. I'm probably gonna try and get out to see that show next year, unless Arthur Fest is in LA again, because I make a point of getting out to Coachella and three music festivals in one year is a bit of stretch.

Strangely enough, I think somebody on this board thought I was a member of liars because of my sig and asked if I wanted to write an article for a magazine, so maybe I should change that. Whatever, we've gotten off topic. Somebody post something relevant.

i saw them at the glasshouse in pomona earlier this summer, god they are excellent live. the crowd was suprisingly small too.

  7. yeah man, i'm pretty much ready to do something drastic to get ahold of a pair of these. i had read somewhere that h-men sold them but i'm still slightly concerned about paying their markup...i'll probably end up doing that though or something.
