  1. I'm selling my LL Bean Handsewn Blucher Moccasins. These are in a now unavailable slightly oiled leather (about the same color as the Chippewa Katahdin boots), that is a dusky light brown. Much better leather than the currently available ones. These are in excellent condition, the pics say it all. Size 10.5D, fit true to size.

$35 shipped CONUS, int'l pays actual shipping cost. I don't check PMs here that often, so if interested email me: jason94708(at)gmail(dot)com

  2. Get ready for Fall with this Pendleton Navy Wool Blazer, 40-42R. This is a beautiful heavy Pendleton wool blazer, single breasted, 2 button front, center vent, patch pockets. Made in USA. It is in superb condition, like new, chest pocket still basted shut. It has a great bright red satin liner, and the pocket flaps are also lined with the same red fabric, which is a nice touch. Crest buttons. No size label, but I'd say a nice slim 42, or largeish 40. $45 shipped CONUS. Email me if interested or with questions: jason94708(at)gmail(dot)com

  3. For Sale:

Hein Gericke for Harley Davidson Vintage Leather Cafe Racer Bomber Jacket Hybrid.

This is a sweet vintage jacket from the 70s or 80s I'd guess, that's made by the German company Hein Gericke for AMF Harley Davidson. It's in great vintage shape. There's some pilling in the quilted lining, some pinholes on the right chest, and some loose threads on the knit cuffs, but nothing that needs to be repaired or anything. The jacket has an interior left chest pocket, and leather interior armpit patches to negate the funk. Outside, the jacket has two side patch pockets that have snap flap closures, as well as lined open entry handwarmer pockets. Also has quilted leather elbow pads, a sweet exterior left sleeve pocket, and sweet snap down epaulets. Nice medium thick leather--maybe 2.5-3.0 oz is my guess. The hide is very soft, and has recently been treated with a coat of Montana Pitch Blend Leather Dressing. This jacket has the look of some of the more fashion forward bomber/moto hybrids out now, but has the added character of being a real vintage piece. $60 shipped CONUS, int'l buyers will pay actual shipping costs by their carrier of choice.

    Size 40, see measurements:

    Shoulder to Shoulder: 18"

    Armpit to armpit: 21"

Bottom of collar straight down the center of back to the bottom of knit hem: 24"

Shoulder seam to end of cuff: 24"

  4. Up for sale is a nice "vintage" Johnson Leathers Cafe Racer in Naked Black Cowhide in a size 42. Fits more like a 40, and is therefore a bit snug on me...

It is worn to perfection. Has a great patina. Check out the sleeve shot! :) Nice thick 3.5-4 oz cowhide (about the same weight as Vanson's competition weight), it has aged beautifully with lots of character. Nice simple and clean design, bi swing back, non-zip handwarmer pockets, one zip chest pocket. Nice warm quilted lining. No rips, tears, or stains in/on the jacket. Just a fine piece of American leather craftsmanship. Johnson is one of the best makers of custom leathers in the U.S. these days, and gets contracted to build a lot of repro jackets for the Japanese market. $200 shipped CONUS, Int'l to pay $190+actual shipping costs via whatever buyer's preferred method is. Paypal preferred. Thanks for looking!

  5. Up for sale are the following:

    1) Dior Homme by Hedi Slimane Made in Japan 19 cm Indigo Jeans tagged size 34. I just came up on these, so don't know their exact history. They look like they were worn only a few times, and washed once, maybe twice. I think the previous owner hardly ever wore them, and maybe washed after every couple of wears. I say this because there's tons of indigo left, and absolutely no whiskering, wallet fades, honeycombs, or knee fades at all. Check the links to pics to see for yourself that you can still set these to fade uniquely to your everyday life. They are way darker than they appear in the pics just taken with my Blackberry. $185 shipped CONUS.

    Actual Measurements (BiG):

    Waist: 16.5"

    Front Rise: 10"

    Thigh: 11"

    Knee: 8.75"

    Ankle: 19 cm

    Inseam: 35.5"

    2) Vintage Minty Hanover Made in USA Oxblood Wingtips 9.5D

These are an amazing pair of Hanover "Masterflex" Made in USA Vintage Wingtips in near perfect condition. They look like they were worn to a couple of events then put away. Goodyear welted and leather soled. Some scuffing on the Made in USA leather sole, as would happen after just a few minutes of wear, and no wear on the rubber heels at all. The leather uppers are in fantastic shape. These are polished up and ready to go. As you can see from the pics, they're sized a 10D, but I wear a 10D, and they're a bit tight on me, by about a half a size or so. I think if you generally wear a largeish 9, or a 9.5 these would be perfect. I've advertised them as a 9.5 for this reason. Be more original than all the dudes wearing Aldens and get these vintage classics at a great price! $50 shipped CONUS.

    3) Lastly, a pair of Sugar Cane 1947 Hard Wash Selvedge Jeans. I purchased these new awhile back (a few years) but never really wore them. I'd say they've been worn about 10 times, never been washed. Just folded up in my closet most of the time. These are the older models, so they have the red "Canes" tab, and the Levi's style pocket arcs. Since they were "hard washed" there's missing threading on the arcs, fly, and a little around the pockets. This is how they came. Sized 34x34, check actual measurements below. $110 shipped CONUS

    Sugar Cane (BiG) measurements:

    Waist: 17"

  6. For sale is an actual vintage Gitman Bros. shirt made in USA for Nordstrom. It's in perfect vintage condition. Tagged size medium--but I'd say it fits more like a slim large. No holes, stains, rips, tears, etc. $60

    Shoulder to Shoulder: 19.5"

    Armpit to armpit: 22"

Also for sale is a pair of Sugar Cane 1947 Selvedge Jeans 34 x 34 in hard wash. I've worn these maybe around 10 times, haven't been washed. I bought them new. There are some threads coming loose around the pockets and around the button fly--they're secure on the underside so it's not a big deal. Honestly, I can't remember if they came that way or not...might be a part of the Sugar Cane hard wash look?? I never wear these so it's time to let them go. They've got the "CANES" red tab, and the pocket arcs--I know for a fact that those had missing stitching when they were brand new. $125

  7. hi folks:

i hate to let this go, but i just got a vanson enfield and one of my 2 vansons has to go...and since i have a lot of other cafe racers, it's this one. this is an awesome jacket. please note that there's additional information i added to the auction in bold red text at the bottom about the sleeve measurements. it was incorrect in the original posting, but someone had already bid, so i couldn't just edit the ad. it's tagged a 44, but the comets run small, so it fits more like a 42, but do check the measurements to endure an ideal fit.

  8. Hi folks:

I'm selling a pair of used Naked and Famous "Slim Guy" jeans in black Japanese selvedge denim. These jeans have been worn and washed, but as you can see from the pics there's not much fading, and there's still plenty of dye left in them to get nice contrasts with good wear. They are in excellent condition, the only real wear on them is on the back of the right leg from where the jeans were cuffed--that part is quite faded (see pic), but it is not worn through or torn. The "Slim Guy" is not really a tight fit, but more of a slim straight fit. Tagged 33x34 but check actual measurements to ensure a good fit.

  12. awesome thread idea!

it hasn't been around for too long (compared to langlitz, danner, or cone mills) but fox creek leather in independence, va., handcrafts their motorcycle jackets on-site, and i can speak to their quality. it would probably be a pretty nice place to visit.

    www.foxcreekleather.com

also, schott leather mfgr in nyc, maker of such classic motorcycle jackets like marlon brando's one star perfecto from wild ones. i think i've read that they do shop tours.

    www.shottnyc.com

my father-in-law used to work for cone mills back in the day, at the hillsborough, nc., plant. it's no longer operational, but i toured the site (since i go there every year for the holidays) and it was pretty cool thinking about all the denim that used to be manufactured there.

i'll probably try to go visit raleigh denim over the holidays this year...maybe i'll take some pics and post them.

let's keep this thread going, and with pics!

  13. hi everyone:

i'm selling some leather jackets from my collection. these two are awesome, but too big for me. they'd fit a 42-44.

    1. J Crew oiled brown leather with amazing antiqued and burnished look to it. the graining makes it look like a pristine horsehide jacket barnstormer/aviator jacket from the 1930s. double zip funnel neck, front patch pockets, great detailing...more like current j crew attention to detail:

    2. Vintage 1950s 1960s JC Penney G-1 Style Thick Leather Bomber Jacket. Mouton collar, epaulets, wool knit cuffs, waistband, and pile lining. Amazing vintage condition, Talon zipper.
