  1. Love my Acronym 3a-1, but i am getting a laptop soon and i would need a bag for it.

I've been hearing people struggle with laptops in the 3a-1 and that it wears it out. So im looking for a messenger bag about the same size but with a laptop sleeve/compartment for 15 inch computers for a descent price!

Also something that wont give me a neck strain, haha

    Arcteryx Fyx 13.
  2. Any other new brands for womenswear?

Kit and Ace are doing interesting things with cashmere.

Willary won't say what fabrics they're using, but Pivotte are up front about using Schoeller Prestige for some of their pieces.

  3. There's a Barney's CO-OP in Georgetown.  Redeem is on 14th, and they have a small showcase from Mutiny (who doesn't have an independent storefront, so viewing their stuff is by appointment only at this time).  Also on 14th is Federal.  If you're going to be in that area, then you may as well hit up Commonwealth.

Izakaya Seki is right next door to Tacos El Chilango, but I'm a sucker for the chivito at Fast Gourmet just a few blocks away.  If you can't book a table in advance, bar space at Red Hen can be had with a bit of patience (try "orange" wine).  Really, though, you should go to DCity Smokehouse and get the Meaty Palmer sandwich.

  4. I believe the NYC store is one of the few that have a master craftsman on site who will do repairs, but it's most likely that the bag will be sent off to Paris for any refurbishment. No receipts are required as long as the piece is authentic, but you will likely have to pay for any work and materials, the cost of which they will communicate up front to you. It may take some time to get it back as well, but it's Hermes--'nuff said.

  5. You might try Karen Konzuk's pieces or look at tension settings like those by dSCAASI, which tend to be less common than your everyday six-prong Tiffany setting. Or you could go to the extreme and look at vintage pieces, where you can find quite good deals. There's also the option of colored stones, which are unusual enough in their own right. I'm currently in the process of building a ring similar to what's pictured below, but with pale pink diamond shoulders and a huge hot pink sapphire center.
