  1. the quality is in quality of cotton and fabric production. GoodSociety fabric is made of organic indian grown cotton and milled by Arvind which was designed by Kato. Sling & Stones fabric is made of american grown organic supima cotton which is milled in okayama perfecture by a few japanese guys who are really into denim. So there is where the price difference is, in the cotton and in the construction of the fabric and where its made. i hope that helps you.

  2. it goes from green to grey. you should try the SS synthetic indigo selvages. the core of the yarn is white and will provide you with some great wear and fading. i would size down on the rachel. but ask kiya at selfedge -

  3. news on sling and stones veggie dyes - i just found out that SS veggie's isn't dyed from the indigofera plant. It's actually dyed with vegetables.. i.e. carrots, cabbage, grass, flowers..etc .. maybe thats why my mill named it vegetable dyed selvage.

  4. also, if you like the skinny skinny - try the women's straight leg, they have the same opening as the men's slim, but its an inch lower rise, on revolve.. it seems those are moving pretty quick to, they are out of 25 and 26. I wear a 28 in GS but i can fit a size 27 women's straight comfortably.

  5. sorry about this, i'm trying to figure it out with this production - if you go on to revolve the slims and straights should fit like sling & stones samuels and johns, respectively, since we used the same patterns, just different styling details. if you like gold, try the sling samuels - :) they are good jeans too.

  6. they are posted up on revolve. the selvage is a loser cut in the thigh because of the straight outseam, so if ya'll want something looser fit, try those. they have the jeans mispriced - so yeah.

  7. Please don't make it a carpenter jean.

its even better, it has cargo pockets on both sides of the thighs with quadruple the amount of hammer loops for all hammering needs. i figure i have to one up the 1996 gap carpenter/cargo jean somehow. infinite hammer loops all the way... oh and its only available in kirkland signature stone wash.

    :)

  8. lots, cotton costs are different, indian grown non - e.l.s cottons is much cheaper than american grown pima (s&s cotton). sling and stones fabric is loomed in okayama perfecture by some denim geek and his 7 or so friends. rivets and hardware for s&s are hand plated by an indian family. but mainly s&s is a more lux item justified by the costs of where the fabric was made, the people that made it, and what type of cotton it was made from.

  9. hey guys, i'm the founder of this cool brand. the cotton is indian grown - the denim was designed by Hiroshi Kato, its hand cut and hand sewn in india (fair trade) and finished in the u.s. of a. we have a selvage model thats dyed with natural indigo dyed by hank system and coated using potato starch, but currently there are only a few boutiques that picked up on it. it retails for 120 dollars or something around there. i apologize for it fitting one size bigger than tagged, my bad, i think i fell asleep during that part of production, but i guess it should make u guys feel skinnier.

  10. yeah, i hadn't drove it in a long time because it was winter, so decided to let it loose and get the oil circulated before changing it out, took a long corner at max speed (115km/h on the speedo) rear slipped out cause it just barely started raining, and rolled off an embankment 4 times. i didn't have a seat belt on. i've taken that corner many many times in the rain at the same speed, . . i guess the physics of things change.
