I have a very boring cut question I'd like someone more savvy than I to weigh in on.

I like the fit of my 902s, but rather than get the exact same cut I'm tempted by the ONI-246ZR-DGC 20oz.

On denimio 246 rise looks higher than the 902 'High Rise' model....

What am I missing? How does the 246 fit?

Some subtle fading on my 902 Aizumi's  - I don't really wear jeans very hard but these have been my main pair for a few weeks

I'm a bit torn on price. For me these are a grail item and part of Eternal history (they were the first to make this ultra heavy slubby fabric back in the day just before Oni and PBJ launched comparable products) so warrant a higher price. I've just priced to match the cost of my next pair. I'm open to offers, partial trades etc. I'm size 32/33 now.

Chan - are those the ones I sent? Damn.... if ever there was a pair I wanted to keep for the fabric alone, just to get out and show people, over all the other denim I've owned, it'd be those. sc40500n  - amazing product.

I had a crush on the persimmon SC's too. Never got round to buying a pair though.

Haha, they never really fitted me. Just hung on to them because I couldn't bear to see them go. Trying to have a clear out though now!

I'm selling my Eternal 868s. Size 30. For some reason Supermarket isn't working for me. I can PM pics if anyone is interested. Very light wear.

Got my Aizumi 902s today. Nice fabric and fit is really great. I plan to get a bluer pair in 902 now. Perhaps my favourite fit of all the Japanese jeans I've owned....

EDIT - have to say, I'm really curious about how these will fade. Have there been any Aizumi fade pictures posted yet?

Ah gotcha - never heard of FCs with green selvedge or no arcs. Well, guess I can't buy em!

I'll be needing some denim repair (loose pocket threads and crotch) anywhere in London that will do a good job to honour the jeans?

Saw a dude in new cross with the best jeans. I need to know these jeans.

Slim fit.

Plain back pockets. Corners side stitching got wider at the top as if around a hidden bar tack.

Green line selvedge. A green thread running though white.

Heavy denim, at least 14oz.

Smooth, not hairy.

Quite large warp threads.

Holla any suggestions.

I think I have owned or handled most slubby denim (PBJ, ONI, Sammies, etc).. and the most unique slubby texture comes from Red Cloud 400H (Cotton and Hemp mixture fabric). It is not the most slubby in terms of bumpiness but the crazy furriness + patchy uneven texture gives it a very old, dusty vintage look and really stands out from the crowd. 

 

they look amazing - and the are the texture I prefer. Hairy and dense. The first three jeans slubbiness all comes from there irregular weaving (which actually has a pattern to it almost if you handle them). The hairier type jeans have a slubbiness on the inconsistency of the fibres - lovely. Please post more info on the Red Cloud 400H!

I must admit, when my eternal 868's (same as the 872's) started to fade they looked a bit messy... I think very slubby jeans look best when raw... PBJ have the balance right imo

Guys, sugarcanes seem a little scarce on rakuten -- where are all the interesting persimmon dye models and AI models??? Has SC stopped making these are is it just a stock issue??

Were'd everyone go? The guys who stuck with this did a great job, but it's pretty disappointing that out of 67 original participants, only a dozen or so saw it through to the end.

I've been checking this thread most weeks now.

I went for 33, effectively sizing up 2. After a year I got them CS'd hemmed in London at son of a stag and began wearing them slightly more, but still not everyday.

I'm basically at the lovely deep purple pastel indigo stage (the first bit of falling the the inkiness really comes through).

Apart from some pocket corners I have nothing to show by comparison.

Sods law in that as soon as a denim contest finishes I am about to lose the job and go back to being a full time student again!
