  1. Sure, it's much worse than hearing that millions of africans die every year because you want to buy the most expensive, uneconomical food that you can find. I think what you implied is horrible. Why do you want africans to die?

There are quite a few leaps in logic there, sir. You assume quite a bit.

  2. From what I remember the Cloak jeans I bought a year or so ago were around $300 (I think they're probably a little more now). They're selvedge and of wonderful quality. I heard a rumor a while ago that Cloak's denim was to be handled by Earnest Sewn at some point, but I haven't been to NY in a while so I can't verify that yet.

They're my second favorite pair of jeans.

  3. Those are the dark indigo's and they are not selvedge. Its really hard for me to tell how slim they are because I didn't try them on, but they look pretty slim. But, I would say maybe a little slimmer then APC NS

    Parker

Thanks for the reply. If they're slimmer than the NS there's no way I can pull off wearing them (I've got biker thighs).

  4. I have a couple questions about the Spruce jeans:

Is that the dark or indigo in the first pic?

    Are they selvedge?

How slim of a cut is it (just an approximate is fine, I just can't really tell from the pic)?

Depending, I may be interested in a 36".

    Thanks.

  5. yeah i mean we cant all wear size 29 nudies or sugarcanes that feel like they got my thighs in a chokehold

I dunno, I'm a broader guy (i wear a 34-36, depending on brand) and my SC 47's fit perfectly.

I just can't get into the Evisu style.

I get what you're saying about the Nudies though. I never thought much of the super skintight jeans.

  6. tees:$70 (typing that made me feel a little queasy)

    polos:$20 (I don't wear 'em much, anyway)

shirts l/s:$20 (again, don't wear 'em much)

    dress shirts:$150

    suit:$2500

    jeans:$300

    shorts:$0

    sneakers:$100

    jackets:$500 (just because I picked up a Buzz Rickson's MA-1)

    hoodies:$180

belts(casual):$170 (I was weak and got an Engineered Garments Quick Release)

    flipflops:$0

facial care:$5 (i have a beard, and so rarely shave)

  7. Anyone know where I can get either an Atelier LaDurance saddle or an Engineered Garments quick release belt?

I'm stuck in the Metro-Detroit area so there's not much by way of actual storefronts I can check out.

  8. hey all.

i'm pretty new to the boards here but i've been obsessed with denim for a few years now.

i recently ordered some sugarcane '47s from mil-mil.net and received them today (took about 5 days overall).

the guy was really nice and the jeans are, as sugar canes should be, wonderful.

total cost for the jeans and shipping was ~$150 (beats the hell out of history preservation's prices).
