  1. i generally try to stay the fuck out of supertrash but i felt compelled to post.

    1. bizzy dresses well. her fit is pretty much always spot on, at least in my opinion.

    2. mellowbonsai, it's simply a matter of finding out what fits you properly. speaking as a bigger guy (relative to most of sufu, anyway) it's even more important to find a good fit/balance. in your case the tight top accentuates your wide hips and larger thighs, making them seem even more disproportionately large. i really think that a nice straight leg trouser paired with a slightly-looser fitting top would work wonders. i hope i'm not offending you but i really think that you should try counterbalancing your top half to match how spread out your bottom half is.

  2. So you would prefer that EVERYONE only like the niche denim products that people here drool over? Wouldnt that make them less exclusive? I'm with the other guy - its fine with me if other people like other brands, including seven or whatever.

personally, i'd love it. the exclusivity is not why i buy the denim i do. i enjoy quality and cuts of a certain style. if more people overall bought denim of a higher standard, it'd be better for everyone.

  3. what is selvedge then?

spend some time looking on the forum. all the jeans in that photo are using stitching to prevent unravelling.

EDIT: whodini said it better. saw it after posting.

  4. just received a pair of the classic raw selvedge from blackbird.

these are my frist pair of ndg denim and i already like them better than all my other jeans (sc47s, dior 21s, apc rescues). the classic fit is actually slightly slimmer than my 21s (though i must admit that i have the italian 21s).

i can't wait to see how these fade.

  5. thanks much.

broken glass - oh man, i wish i had cdiems. the buttero's are holding me off so i don't go and drop a grand on boots. i picked them up because they're damn fine boots in their own right and they are a really similar shape to the cdiem's i want.

    crillz - i got them at barney's co-op. they were ~$300.

buttero boots. my cdiem replacement for now. leather's nice, construction is solid. definitely worth the price.
