I own the blue green one in medium and love it. However, it should be noted that most band of outsider shirt's side vents run high which make it impossible to tuck in. I believe that is the point though.

It depends on the shirt. I think a shirt like the one below looks good without a tie. The button collar and slim fit body help keep it looking clean.
