yeah, didn't find anything on the fit of the raw denim, searched helmut lang raw denim and helmut lang raw. Can anyone tell me how they compare to the classic cut. Thanks.

How is the fit on these? Is it similar to the classic cut?

I also made the mistake of putting them in the dryer and they sure did shrink. Raw jeans tend to shrink a little even if you just soak them in cold water so if you plan on getting them hemmed, I'd definitely wash them before. Not so sure about how long you should soak them for, an hour maybe.

hey 2000, were there any other colors available than the reject, like the blue blue or the raw? I'm thinking the raw might be cheaper.

I emailed APC yesterday morning asking if they would consider marking an order to Canada as a gift and they didn't respond, they usually respond to emails really quickly so I'm guessing they just won't do that. How much are new standards at TNT anyways? Do you think they'd consider shipping to Montreal?

I used to have a pair of mic raw but I made the mistake of washing them in a washing machine and they faded quite fast. Would consider dry cleaning or soaking in cold water but not too frequently.

yeah, that's a hefty amount. I am really interested in the city kir jacket which is a burgundy jean jacket but I thought it'd be more reasonable. Where did you see this in Canada? I live in Montreal and would be interested in trying it on for size and then try and find it for cheaper somewhere else.

The UPS guy also once told me that the faster (and more expensive) the shipping option you choose, the less the custom fee would be. That turned out to be true, however with APC the cheapest shipping option is 5$ and the 2nd cheapest is 30$ so it's a raw deal any way you go about it.

Weird cause I ordered something from Yoox.com and they ship with UPS as well and there was no fee. Having to pay 50$ on top of everything is pretty ridiculous and there's gotta be an honest way around it.

From my experience, apc pants are not sized like the jeans. I wear 28 in the jeans and I have two pairs of apc pants in 30 and they both fit perfectly. And yes there is usually stuff they have in stores that's not on the online store but I doubt that they wouldn't put certain sizes of items that are on there.

Has anyone from Canada ever placed an online order with APC? I did many times and there's always a rather hefty custom charge. Was wondering if there was any way around that? Thanks.

I'm constantly looking on ebay and they very rarely have low waist contour fit or raw silk denim, in fact I can't remember how long it's been since I've seen a pair in my size (30). Yoox has a few models as well but not what I'm looking for. I'm looking for raw silk denim in raw white or low waist contour fit in black, size 30 in both. If anyone can help me with that, I'd be very grateful.

That's really too bad, the low waist contour fit and the raw silk denim are still my favourite jeans. Really hope whoever bought Helmut Lang will produce these again.

yeah, I heard they were bought by Theory but does anyone know if they'll release a new collection and whether they'll keep producing the jeans (classic cut, low waist contour fit, raw silk denim.....)? In the meantime, are they no longer available in any stores?

I'm desperately looking for Helmut Lang jeans but they're only available on ebay and on yoox.com. Are they really no longer available in any stores? What about the big department stores like Bloomingdale's or Neiman Marcus or Saks, anything, online? Any help would be appreciated.

Yeah, I was hoping to get a pair of black new standards as well. I don't know of any website that sells apc other than the apc site so I guess we'll have to wait until next season and hope they bring 'em back. Are they really only available in indigo though, I read somewhere on supertalk that they had other blue washes. Can anyone shed some light on this?

Hasn't Helmut Lang closed down though? I know I can't find them anywhere here in Montreal anymore. Is there a site where they sell 'em other than allanio?
