Yeah, they're fairly tight. I've definitely seen way tighter though. cgeezy, you probably want yours to end up looser than that. I think a lot depends on how thick your thighs are. The waist on mine is actually quite loose, despite how the jeans look in that picture.

Here are my size 30 New Standards, close to two months in. To answer your question, I have thick thighs. A consequence of playing soccer for most of my life.

Anyone have any insight to how old these are?
The Lee one I just picked up today at a vintage store. It was labeled as from the 60s, but I'm not certain that's the case. At any rate, it seems to be dry and deadstock. Good find?
I'm not good with cameras so didn't get a good pic of the tag, but it says:
Lee r m.r
SANFORDIZED
PATD-153438
UNION MADE IN U.S.A.
This one was from a Goodwill. Both Levi's jackets are small e.
This jacket belonged to my dad. I think he had it during the 70s. Found it randomly at his house. I don't think the pictures really do this one justice. It has pretty good wear on it.

I'd say you'll be fine. I got mine in a 30, and they're by no means baggy at this point, but they're not exactly painted on either. Overall, I'm happy with the size, and I'm around 32/33 in the waist.

Cool, it seems I may have bought fakes then. There's a single red line inside the coin pocket. To make matters worse, I'm pretty sure I bought them from someone on here.

Weird coincidence. I was out shopping today and found what appears to be a deadstock old Lee jean jacket. They had it labeled as from the 60s, but I have my doubts on that. I'll post pics when I take some. I could use some opinions on the age.

I saw Underdog at posi numbers and in DC. Didn't go up the first one back they did at CBs.

Eff a black hoodie. Champion Reverse Weaves.
I for one, really like the wave of reunions going on lately. It's allowed me to see Gorilla Biscuits, Bold, 108, Beyond, Damnation A.D., Underdog, Lifetime, and probably a bunch of others I can't even remember right now. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Quicksand...

What does the selvage on the coin pocket of fakes look like? Have any pictures?

They REALLY will stretch a lot, though it seems hard to believe. I wish I'd sized down more close to two months in on my New Standards.

On a similiar note, are there any dry repro jackets out there that have four front pockets instead of just the two breast pockets? I haven't had any luck finding one.

My goal is to get any leg twisting out of the way(assuming lvc 501s even twist when washed? I don't know), and minimize the amount of shrinking in the legs. The length is really good right now.
From what I gather, my best bet is to soak them cold(unsure of how long to do this) then wear them dry. Am I on the right track?

This has probably been answered, and I have searched, but anyway.
Should I soak these first? Cold water?
They fit great right now, but I'm worried about breaking them in and then having the creases twist if I decide to wash them down the road?
Sorry if this has been beaten to death and I'm just missing it.

Those look nice. Could you stretch them while wet to compensate for lost leg length?
