    1. Yes, I do know who Ghostface is. The first hip hop cd I ever bought was 36 Chambers when I was 7 years old.

    2. Sorry about the pic location, I like that chair thingy.

    3. I know it is hard to believe but I am 18 years old. I get shit about it all the time.

    carl,

are you concerned at all about the potentially exploitative aspects of your work?

--- Original message by grasshopper on Apr 6, 2006 10:11 AM

That was one of the biggest complaints/critics of Shelby Lee Adams work, is or isn't he exploiting these people by documenting how they live. The truth of the matter is, he isn't. (Some will argue that Shelby does exploit these people by introducing elements into there lives that might not have been there otherwise. i.e. if you watch the documentary theres a "pig killing" that could be skewed as something he "set-up" rather then documented.) It's a huge gray area, when you do stuff like this, just like taking photos of homeless people. It really comes down to the artists intent and the intent of the workshop. Which is really to build a bond in a society that is completely foreign to you. Thats what really happened with Shelby Adams, he went from taking photos to having a relationship with these people.

  3. The Mihara Puma's and the 96 Hour collection from puma are both fashionable and functionable. I wear my MY-16s alot,

They are extremely comfortable and easy to wear, even comparable to some of my "higher-end" shoes, I would still rather buy another pair of Mihara's over anything else.

im gonna get a lot of hate for this... dunks, jordan and air force ones, er the most ugly shoes in the world... i would never buy a pair and would never wear a pair...

    no offence.

but do you realize how many shoes you are hating on by that statement?

you're talking about 23 shoe models many of which are basically mothers of many other shoes designed either by Nike itself or by other companies. I honestly think if you think all of them are ugly, you probably don't like sneakers at all. don't tell me you hate chuck taylors tooicon_smile_shock.gif

I agree that dunks are ridiculously hyped. and I really don't get the concept of collabing with Medicom on

dunks. this is the 4th pair in 2+ years. Medicom makes vinyl toys, can someone tell me why they get to make skate shoes??

They made a series of Nike SB toys, similar to kubricks.

and how can you say theyre ugly? the dunk is just a shoe...theres not enough to it for it to be ugly. its like calling a vans slip on ugly. af1 i can understand with the soles. and jordans, well, theres 21 of em, not to mention the countless others under the jordan name.

not hate, just confusion i guess.

    Van's Slipons are ugly.

    Anticipation is already building up..

Hey, if I took the picture you people would be seeing the official model to come out.

But rumor has it there will be a Low, Mid, and high Medicom SB. And those are not the 3ms that released already...

Jeff Staple (I am sure some of you heard of) had a interview with Head manager at Medicom...he took pictures of the lows, and toys etc...he can not show the actual pic yet (medicom would be in trouble with nike)

the irony in it is kind of funny... can't really think why else... I have some obivously fake gucci t shirts... Fakes only work if you have style to begin with and are wearing them because they are fake....

not a girl with a fake LV purse who wishes it was real.

at the time, the printer couldnt do gold foil, (you need a certian amount of ventalation for it.) but we might do some other limited like hoodies, and if we do we'll reprint this and it'll have gold foil.

I'm just really happy to see the return of the box tees. supreme really surprised us with

    those fresh colors.

the backpacks look really good this season as well.

and if you shop at supreme often enough, you know that things will

get restocked again..even the box tees..so just wait a couple more days and

go there early in the morning, you'll get your gears.

this collection is by far my favorite in these couple of years.

so there is still love out there... attaboy

Personally I dont'really get the 3 month thing. Lets assume a guy makes 50k net income a year, yes, which is above average, but lets just say.

so, he makes about 4k per month, and so the ring is gonna be 12k?

That seems like quite a bit to be spending on a ring for a guy who's making 50k a year, most of the engagement rings i've seen in Birks are quite a bit less than that.

or maybe i'm looking at the wrong rings?

i suppose its always worth it for that "special someone"

congratulations lying, but does she know about your shady past as breakfasteater......

    --- Original message by nairb49 on Mar 15, 2006 06:12 AM

If someone nets 50k after taxes, they'll be ok giving up 12k. Keep in mind you don't have to pay it all at once.
