  1. Hey guys I've got some stuff for sale... some of it not so new :tounge: but I thought I'd make one big thread for all of it. I'll send the jackets to ebay if they don't sell this time.

    1) Nice Collective jacket is SOLD

    2) Next is an Engineered Garments work coat, size Medium, brand new with tags. Its Olive green canvas, features riveted donut buttons, 3 padded pockets on the outside, 2 on the inside, and all the subtle detailing and excellent construction the brand is known for (slanted buttons, etc). It measures:

    Length armpit to cuff = 20

    Length neck seam to bottom = 28.5

    Chest = 19.5

    Retails for $322, I'm asking $200 Shipped to N. America

    3) Next up is a shirt I bought from chris on superfuture. Its of thai origin, and a really great shirt, but too short for me. I still wore it 3 times, and washed it twice (cold, line dried.. I don't think it shrunk). It has blue contrast stitching, an indigo-ish shape print, and side vents. It measures:

    Length neck seam to bottom = 23

    Chest = 17.5

    4) shemagh is SOLD

  2. I have two pairs of denim going at any given time. One that I keep dark that I wear in 'everyday' situations like class or at the bar, and a heavier pair that I wear to work. The work ones get gross pretty quick because I work in a warehouse.

    I know this might go against some denim philosophy of wearing the same jeans all the time, but personally I would not want filth (grease in your case) stained and smelly jeans to wear when I'm on a date or sitting in packed classroom.

    and its not as if I have a problem with washing my jeans.. quite the contrary, I washed my work jeans on average, about once a month. But to keep them clean, I would have had to wash them weekly.. and that's far too much imho.

    Also this is a great excuse to get a second pair :)

  3. hah! that's exactly what I thought. They are low-rise.. but I knew 7.4 inches wasn't possible. That's girljeans territory. Maybe they were measuring the fly or something.

    Thanks snugglepony.

    EDIT- anyone have any experiences ordering from OWN?

  4. I really want to pull the trigger on a pair of these. Hopefully the own-webstore is able to hem and chainstitch them for me.

    But before I make my purchase, could someone do me a huge favour and measure the rise on your regular straights?

    Looking at the pictures that were posted, I'm having a hard time figuring out the measurements on Somet's website. It says the rise for the size 29 is 18.7cm (~7.4inches).. which is ridiculously low, to the point where my penis would probably fall out. What exactly are they measuring?

  5. Those Johnbull's look great on you. I've been trying to pick a slim jean and I've been debating between the xx-005 and the samurai 505, but those johnbulls are maybe closer to what I'm looking for. The super low rise of the pbj is not ideal for me, and the samurai is maybe not quite slim enough. How is the rise on the sc003? Looks to be about medium, yeah?
    according to gordon at BiG : the rise is about 10.5 inches on a sz28. So, mid/high-ish rise.
  6. So much for Japanese jeans being such high quality!
    yeah it was dumb of me to assume that 17oz denim would stretch as fast as APC's 12 (?) oz stuff.

    oh well live and learn. I don't think its indicative of the quality of samurais.

  7. I tend to consider acne max cash a high-quality alternative to cheap mondays. so when you size down they're super-slim and low-rise...the inseam is only 32" though so there's a bit of stacking.
    well, I have black acnes tagged 30x34 and they measure 30x36... the inseam is definitely not limited to 32.

    shameless self promotion: I'm also selling them in supermarket VVV, with pics of me wearing them in my thread.

  8. Now i'm REALLY confused. Think i'll just try to order and see if they fit. Anyone ever dealed with http://www.kitchener.ch, and know how their service is with returns?
    they're in switzerland so returning them would be a pretty big pain, even if they let you do it.

    Go down one size. Even if you find them a bit tight at first, they'll easily stretch and the antifit seat means they'd be comfortable from the start.

    One down is the safe choice... but I'd go down two for a more slim fit, personally.
