  1. the jack purcell's have some weight on them. not noticably heavy, its subtle. and the purcells suck on slippery surfaces i.e. manhole covers during the rain; I know this one personally..

other than that, its your basic Canvas/Rubber shoe with a "smile"

  2. the stussy jeans i've owned in the past have been true to fit/size tag.

one time a button broke on one of my jeans, and i was at this stussy fundraiser and somebody over heard me complaining about that broken button issue, so the lady approached me and said she would send me a button to fix it. that lady was none other than Annette Stussy; Sean Stussy's sister.. how cool was that!

  5. bought my dad some New Balance 990's last x'mas. they were made in USA.. $100.00 but he wears em all the time, so it's worth it.

I try not to get into the whole politics/ethics of made usa/china/italy/etc. but when you are running a biz, the bottom line says it all, and if you have to cut production costs to get you out the red, then China/India/etc. it is.

I lost my job to "OUTSOURCING" to india. yeah i was pissed, but the company needed to balance thier budget, and it was the most economical way. too bad thier new products look crappy; but maybe thats my pride speaking.

anyhow, even good ole' american Levis arent made in the USA.

  6. not to get in the middle of this e-war, but old navy denim has short life span if worn on a consistant basis as most denim maniacs would wear; lets say 501s STF's..

In my past experience, the denim is over very poor quality. i know they now have a "premium" line too. but I'm not willing to spend $20-30. on thier denim. It kind of reminds me of the Anchor Blue stuff..

    buy Levis..

Another note, it's wierd how people will buy $100,$200+ Denim and also LOVE Levi's 501s which are relatively cheap.. but yet, there is no middle ground. i.e. Guess, Hilfiger, Nautica etc.. well atleast there is'nt one for me!

These jeans are going to the next popular thang in the exclusive hip hop scene (if they aren't already). Seeing how even youngster hip hop heads are sporting Evisus left and right now after Jay Z.

To further verify my feeling, there's a report on RMC in Complex (In their new issue). In it is an interesting picture of one of their jeans - the one that Ringring talked about, where they use just needles to poke through the denim to create the embroidery effect. It looks neat, but of course they are like 1000+ dollars per jean or something like that.

I hated wearing my Evisus AFTER jayz wore them in his videos..

I still wear them - no doubt about that, but here are two events that make me bitter towards hiphop and its effect unto the world of non-hiphop fashion.

1)someone came up to on the street and asked me "where did you get them Jigga Jeans.."

2)my friend asked me if my Evisus were "RocaWear" duh!

fivepoints wear (see any complex magazine) have a logo similar to the evisu gull as well..

when it all boils down to it - its a fancy levi's logo..
