I spent a good 3 hours of a road trip thinking of celebrity/weed mashup names.
Obi Bong Kenobi.

Tie a noose around your neck, tip slightly off the chair while masturbating.
Try not to fall. (8)
I know a kid that knows a kid that died like that. What a drag.

Everyone else at my school went home for thanksgiving.
Options:
1. Get drunk alone.
2. Magic brownie. also alone.
3. Trying to masturbate with one of those cock numbing condoms. Obviously alone.
That's how bored I am. Maybe I should have made this a poll.

You know on the most of the remixes cover it says "one we think is ok"
which one do you think they think is only ok?

y'all a bunch of lames.
hey other dj's, anyone incorporating some interesting intros into their mixes?
im trying to polish a few of my potentials. been fucking around with nas' "hate me now", its got that powerful dramatic classical joint that aoki opened up with in his essential, only with diddy in the background yelling some dont fuck with us motherfucka type shit. i just hit a loop on the chorus and fuck with the pitch, try to bring in boys noize's teenage bad girl remix. as soon as i get something recorded ill throw it up.
I cut up a loopy star wars intro. it's like the main blockade runner theme playing until it loops, then i can play with effects on it for a moment before mixing something into the now at 130ish bpm loop. sooooo much fun.
but i stole it from the bloody beetroots who i've heard do the godfather intro and loop it into a song. they probably stole it too.

entourage is officially SO overly optimistic it's ridiculous. not that that's a problem with me. i was SO happy to see vince finally lose his temper, and true to the nature of entourage the end works out for everyone.
ps entourage being my guilty pleasure, and great gatsby being a catalyst in my highest intellectual moment in life, my worlds are about to collide next summer.

I'm not sure how old they are, but a bunch of blogs just posted a few shazam remixes that I didn't have yet:

only on superfuture would there be a label for "corny white hipsters", where being hip just isn't cool unless you're the hippest.

10 minutes into this LA Riots set and I'm loving it. Makes me wish I watched their set at hard instead of NERD. I think that's who was on at the time.

fucking immense. I've worked with a bunch of different video editing programs with the standard timeline view and I can't figure out ableton to save my life. Looking forward to getting Logic though
Yeah. I've been messing with ableton for a few months and still my sets consist of basic looping and crossfading. There are A LOT of resources for it though, as in, not only the ableton forums, but there's a DJing with ableton specific forum that's huge, plus lots and lots of DVD's and online "academies".

It sounds to me like they've started using Ableton (did they before? maybe it just wasn't as obvious) - basically doing the whole Daft Punk thing of breaking their songs down to samples and then re-mixing them live. It works pretty well by the sounds of it - I might consider seeing them again if they're in the area and it's not too expensive.
Ableton is the future!

Quoted for truth. Are you going?
I'm flying to dublin for the winter and it sounds like I might be able to fly to rotterdam that day for soulwaxmas. I have to find out how to buy tickets in advance though... any idea?

guetta's a house dude right? never heard one of his tracks until now.
justice mixed this in a recent set, it's pretty fucking hard
2ManyDJ's crushed that song SO hard at creamfields in like june. Pretty excellent.
It's old but the boys noize remix of Move My Body is just so out of control. I played that last night and we went nuts.
Does anyone have links to the I Love Techno 2008 sets?
PS is anyone going to soulwaxmas in rotterdam?

i was about to buy my first set of tracks from them and then they told me about the "WAV Handling" Fee.

I want it to hold at least 72 CD's with liner notes though, and not be busted as hell.
Any one got one to offer?

I'm pretty sure they cleared it up with Lo-Bat cause now the song is called Crystal Castles vs Lo-Bat. Plus the song wasn't even on the album.
yeah I heard they were just messing around and then it got leaked or something and was never intended for release....

I'm toying with the idea of smashing my own daft punk stuff alive 2007 style, just so i can play out something other than the originals.
0 -
BTW, now that the fake daft punk thing came up, what are your favorite remixes of daft punk songs?
I realized that all my daft punk remixes are just... shitty.

every cwg/hipster girl i know is obsessed with lykke li
i never listened but this remix is pretty dope
isn't the point of being a cwg is that they DON'T listen to anything remotely electro?
