  1. stephe kerry

draymond will do a decent job on lebron, similar to how milsap played him.

and no one on cavs can guard steph, other than lebron. But I dont think theyll play him on steph unless they get absolutely desperate

  3. moved to this house a year and a half ago... This is the fourth place ive lived at in the city and its by far the cheapest and best housing Ive had. Including what i paid in daly city

Relatively speaking its far from anything the city is known for (other than candlestick, but you kno...), but I don't need/really want to be in the center of all the madness. If you move to SF to be IN the city, then it probably won't be your cup of tea. I am not one of those people

  4. ... and as i type that out, I realize how much I really do love it here. Dirt cheap rent in a safe neighborhood (multi-generation home owners), walkinig distance to cheap chinese, mexican, etc restaurants, 4 blocks from the 101, 10 blocks to the 280, no traffic, plenty of parking, 15 mins downtown, 10 mins to the mission... hidden gem, in my opinion. Added bonus that i work in south city and I got a 15 minute commute in traffic.

  5. damn. come to the portola. I swear im like the youngest person here by like 20 years. Either 90 year old chinese ladies walking in bunches, all wearing sun hats or 50 year old mexicans cleaning their low riders.... love it here... actually dont come here. its mine

  6. I feel you, I like jason donahue and holly ellis tho, but thats coming from someone who has no really traditional tattoos. I've only got work from erik jacobsen and someone that was guesting.

Only other shops ive got work on were at Analog (Mutsuo, three tides, guest spot), Castro (friday the 13th $13) and Everlast (Stefan Johnnson, hes kind of a resident). Analog is a beautiful shop, more like a gallery. Castro - I wouldn't go for anything other than the $13 deal. Everlast - Cool little shop. Stefan used to be there every Friday, not sure he still does. But he;s a good option for traditional stuff.

Edit - Chuck Donahue is gonna be here in March I think. Not sure where. Might be up your alley

  7. i might be missing something here, but are there any really good trad artists in the bay area? hopefully i'm just not aware of them, but i'm really missing the ny guys right now. quinters, boltz, cross, even hillary... any suggestions?

  8. Welding is one of those things thats easy to do but hard to do right

You're not going to have nice welds for a while, and aluminum is a whole different level.

On "presentation" pieces like your chair bad welds will make it look like shit - regardless of the workmanship on the rest of it.

Like aso2004 said, leave it to the pros.

Not trying to discourage you from learning to weld tho - Its a great/functional skill to have.

  9. if you're looking for votes, ive always loved uncle allens stuff

btw any bay area tattooers... saw some sketchy dude selling some pretty good looking tattoo gear at the alemany (not alemeda) flea market yesterday. I dont know much about tattoo gear so idk if it was actually quality stuff or just basic kits - but i know some dudes got jacked at the convention earlier this year and some other shops' artists got lifted so just an FYI for anyone knowledgeable.

  10. Also, any ideas on covering up this gross carpet?  I won't be here longer than a year or two so I can't replace it. I might just throw down a few area rugs (or live with it)

Just live with it... like you said you're only gonna live there like a year...

more important than having a cool room, since you're gonna be moving again relatively soon, is to just get cheap comfortable stuff that's not hard to move or toss out. I just recently finished school and moved 3 times in 4 years. I had a mattress/box, desk I can break down, and a small side table with drawers. Easy to move, and enough to hold my shit. Now that I have a more permanent spot (tho still sharing a house with friends in a medium sized room) I began to fill out my furniture and get to be a bit more creative.

Small spaces: build up, small footprint, and only necessities. Light colors make the room feel bigger.

    Do you have a closet?

  11. ^then don't get a tattoo man. If you don't have the cash to throw on a good artist and you super worried about time and cost etc. Save and then get it.

Nah get the fuckin tattoo.  Tattoos are forever. Engagements/marriages are like what? 10 year average. Cmon dude
