  1. how did you wash these, how many times, etc.

They look to have lightened quite a bit overall, so im guessing theyve been washed more than once.

i washed them the first time after 6 months of wear. they got pretty wet in the rain a few times before that, but that was the first wash.

my mom washed them on me the second time, about 4 mos later, but that didn't have much of an effect on the jeans. they were already pretty light...

and to those of you who said that they aren't worth the time, i definitely agree...i got them before i was knowlegable on the subject, and bought them because of how well they fit me. unfortunately these don't have much time left, wheras if it was a pair of apc, pbj, whatever they would still have plenty of life.

i am breaking a pair of NS's in and they will look amazing in a couple months, and i have a pair of nudies i grabbed at barneys sale but i think the nudies will fall apart too. they're reallly thin.

  2. those look nice. i don't discount gstar because they can't fade or look like shit or something along those lines, because those jeans above look great, so they obviously CAN fade. i just discount them because, for the price, they are shit quality. those jeans above look great though. i just wouldn't wanna put all that time into jeans that will start tearing to shreds as soon as they start looking good

yuppp. tis the moral of the story.

  3. I'm sorry they're not sbpj506050xxxsxx but they did fade a bit. real bummer on the holes and the cell phone visability, but i guess that's what i get for buying gstars. I know better now but i did wear the hell out of these at the time. (almost every day for 6 mos)

  4. your most likely not going to find future sports stuff on the JL website. It's really hard to come by. I'm pretty sure that is this years coat. its sick regardless, and if you like it, it shouldn't really matter.

and yes, as far as JL future sports goes, its all thanks to jon. he kills it soooo hard.

  5. I am selling a couple pairs of jeans...I'll try to get some pictures up but for now heres what I've got.

2 Pairs of cheap mondays, black worn 3 times, grey worn once.

    Tight Black Unisex size 33-32

Tight washed grey Unisex size 32-34

    $50/each or $80 for both.

Yellow Pastel Dior Jeans from SS06

Size 32, worn about 5 times, show minimal signs of wearing but to be expected with light colored jeans.

    $200

  6. I agree with hysteric. If you're actually going to ski in this stuff you might be disappointed with how it holds up. Outerwear manufacturers put lots of R&D into their products to make sure they perform when you need them most. It's part of why they sponsor people.

If you just want something stylish and slim you might want to check out 686, Mission6, or Volcom. Those three have always been my favorites.

I know plenty about all those companies, as i've owned at least one outerwear product from all 3, and my favorite of the 3 is m6. I just want something new and different that no one else has...

Like I said if i was gonna get traditional outerwear it would definitely be holden, or maybe airblaster as they're quite hillarious.

  7. i wouldnt get one if your actually gonna get one for skiing/ snowboarding. There probably pretty high priced and if you ride park, it wont stay in the greatest condition. if you want a slimmer fit go with holden, or i think special blend/ foursquare makes some niec slim stuff. Im am personally one of those people that wear xxl stuff for snowboarding haha

no worries i was too..just moving on from it. Holden ish ain't exactly cheap either...I'm pretty sure it's not a whole lot more inexpensive than JL. As far as Carbon jackets go...ewwww! haha.

  8. ya, jon is pretty much the man. I'm just over the whole look that most skiers are going for these days. (xxl everything). I may just get some holden stuff as that seems to be a pretty good look, but I'd love to find a JL Jacket. We'll see.

  9. I don't mean to come off as a jerk as this is a serious question: What does the major demographic of Johnny Cupcakes customers consist of? Is it women? Gay men?

college aged females, moms think its cute, the typical urban outfitter male may find it slightly appealing, etc. I see it worn mostly by 18-25 y/o girls.

  10. i live in boston and its everywhere. I've talked to johnny a bit too, and he seems like a nice enough guy. I'm not a real fan of the look, its obv not very "super-future-ish", but they're are certainly plenty of people, esp. girls that are in love with johnny cupcakes. He's planning to open a store in Lodon, and Cali by the end of the year, and I know that he did 3 months rent the first day of business on Newbury St. (I know right?)

Obv, not something we're about, but you have to respect the guy for his keen business skills. The question now is if he'll be smart enough to dump it when he can....

  11. Wait 'til you put them on. You'll go completely priapic.

It's a great boot. But be warned: you're gonna have to nearly unlace them completely to get them off. Snug suckers, they are.

Quality-wise, Frye is excellent. They wear well, are comfortable, durable, and only look better with age. I've always had Fryes, and now that they've stepped up their game style-wise, I'll have more.

And they're excellent conversation starters. I once sat opposite a woman on a NJ Transit train out of Penn Station. She was wearing Fryes. They had some age and wear on them, but she had maintained them very very well. They were striking. Totally rock star, and I told her so. We hooked up. There is no better endorsement.

can anyone tell me how fryes fit size-wise? I'm typically a 9 in converse 9.5 in vans and 10 in nike...Any help??
