  1. I have a pair of pants 98% cotton and 2% spandex and would like to shrink the entire waist/hip area without changing the area below it. The pants are labeled machine wash warm, line dry. Would this following procedure work?

    1. Soak the shrinking area in hot water, hanging upside down so that the water does not creep up to the leg area.

    2. Put them in the dryer.

    Thanks for your help.

  2. If someone can provide some more close-up scans of those pages, I would be glad to translate it. I unfortunately can't make up the small print, especially since it is written in a white font on a colored background.

From glancing at p. 125, it seems to be a collaboration between sugar cane and the "origin of japanese denim, union star jeans."

  3. I want to get a pair of pants tapered professionaly. How should I determine the cut I want? My friend suggested that I use straight pins to fold in and pin down the fabric starting at the bottom of the pockets before I bring it to the tailor. Also, the pants are "normal" fit, not slim, so the seat fits like a pair of 501s. I want to keep this somewhat non-form-fitting seat, while having the legs come down to a rather narrow leg opening. Is this possible, or will the seat just end up bunching up like crazy if it is relatively looser than everything else?

Also, when pinning it down before bringing it to the tailor, should I do it like pic #1, or pic #2?

    Thanks for your help.

  4. Also, get a Pod XT Live. I feel this is absolutely necessary for anyone that doesn't already have one of these: Twin, Twin Reverb, JC-120, AC 30. Your tone seriously comes more from your amp than your guitar, and I see a lot of new guitarists going for $500+ guitars and 15w toy amps. DON"T DO THIS. I know a guy online who uses a squier strat with ebayed Eric Johnson pickups (from the signature strat) through a Fender Twin, and it sounds absolutely godly.

  5. I bought a used american strat on ebay for $600 ish, I figured it was the logical choice because I can use it for another X years, then sell it for the exact same price (or slightly higher, if I take my time on the ad). The thing is, buying a good used guitar on the internet is EXTREMELY difficult, and it took me over 6 months to find one that was convincingly good quality. The reason is that there are just so many things that can go wrong with a guitar over the years.

If you're going to buy a new guitar, I'd suggest the 50's reissue or a 60's reissue over the highway 1.

  6. does anyone wear those 3 pack t shirts that you can get at the mall or at marshalls? brands include calvin klein, dkny, jockey, 2xist.. etc

If you wear them, HOW THE HELL DO YOU MAKE IT LOOK NORMAL!?!? Whenever I try those on they're so thin and transparent I feel like a complete pervert wearing them. I have seen people on the waywt forum make them look good, but maybe its just the photo.
