england great info thanks.
before i read your post i was looking at this site and saw some on sale recently.
http://www.80spurple.com/catalog/product_info.php/cPath/115_227/products_id/1820
it is freshjive, which i do not know much about, but it is cheap and looks quite good quality.
what do you think? i cannot tell from the photos shown. also i don't like the fact it is preworn/prewashed.
the spiewak jacket you show looks great but i would prefer a cotton outer so it can wear naturally.

i have been searching high and low for a really well made m65 as suggested by englandmj7
I like the look of the schott version, as it seems to be well made and has a nice built in lining. The problem is they don't send this item to australia.
Anyone know of any other m65 jackets out there that are easily available online.

i just went into www.google.cn and typed in tibet and it came up with the free tibet movement.

google is censoring information for the government.
this is not a new thing, i don't know what it is like in the US but here in australia the media has been controlled and censored by the government for years

[*]Very irregular weave
[*]thick and bright cotton stitching
[*]wide belt loops
[*]can't see the bottom of the J stitch when they are on, which is masculine looking
[*]Perfect front pocket depth
[*]Perfect rise
[*]Great leather tag
Minuses
<ul> [*]Flat Copper rivets would be awesome
[*]Single stitched back pockets would be nice

nice those kings look sweet. What shoes are you going to wear with them? I have been thinking about getting a pair but most of my shoes are better suited to duke leg opening.

mr g, I had a similar problem with my nudies, one of the smaller buttons fell off. I just took it to an alterations shop in town and they knew what to do.

wits not to sure about the deal with washed jeans but on their site they say to buy as tight as you can stand.
i was hurting for a few days so stick with it

doubt that gravy train is going to run much longer. did you hear info guy "we've run out" just a week after production, yer right!
i'm guessing the lucky few who got a pair cheap were part of some marketing ploy.

ah the old pocket stitching question.
i really like imperials design i think it is up there with my favourite looking jean from the back.
some people love evisus gull, some people hate it. Personally i remember the first time i saw it i was sold even though i didn't know anything about evisu or evis. I got on the internet and was searching on google "wiggly line of jeans pocket" or "painted swirl jean pocket". I was sold.
Not saying imperials is as emotive as the gull but i had similar feelings when i saw the imperials on the shelf, the design just jumped out at me.
i vote for the stitching

will be hard to unstitch it, is not a usual thread like lee or levis, some special stitch don't know what it is called. like a little V.

you can't just come on here and be like that.
so you wrote a book, i bet you there are a dozen guys on here who have forgotten more about denim than you'll ever know.
Good luck with the book, but that last post won't win you any sales on here.
