  1. size down. or get your regular size and just use a belt.

re: overall fit, it's definitely more relaxed than the p10. closest thigh fit is the p16, but the 24 doesn't taper nearly as much.

imo, it's the best pant acr's done, specifically the ds version.

    great, thanks :)

  2. for those that have the P24A-DS, i know it's kind of been discussed before already, but just wish to be a bit clearer on its fit... if i wear size M in P10s, would sizing down on the P24s be wise?  how loose is the fit?

from the fit pics, errolson seems to be wearing a size S in the pants if you look at the waist fit, and compare to his other fit pics of such as P10, P10A in which he wore size M so i'm guessing he's also 32" waist... if he is wearing size M, waist measurement @ 90cm, then the waist should be cinched up, no?

from his fit pics, the pants look best when the waist is just right with the baggy cut; a cinched waist wouldn't quite look right and as intended as for the P23s...

    thanks.

  4. Took me 2 minutes to find the care tags on 5 jackets and 4 pants.

No one has better washing advice then the care tags. If you can afford $1000 jackets then you can afford the time it takes to find those.

never thought that a simple question seeking advice on perhaps better ways of washing aside from the tags from experienced acr owners here would 'provoke' so many self-important useless offensive sarcastic remarks... whatever.

  5. Follow the instructions that are printed on a tag in each garment. They print those and sew them in for a reason, it's not just to give the people at the factory something to do.

I ask because I cannot seem to find the washing instructions, and following recent discussions re different experiences w different fabrics, I was simply trying to see if anyone has better advice for certain materials. you can just ignore my question if you feel no need to answer, you don't have to be a f---ing asshole about it! but then, if making idiotic replies as you did makes you feel superior or better about yourself, so be it.

  6. The sz tag is basically a thick seam tape. You can try to press it with an iron, but I caution you to have something laying on the face of tag so you do not accidentally melt the label and char everything else around it.

( it does require a great amount of heat /  pressing down /  pressure / Hold to start bonding with the fabric considering how thick the tags are)

    thanks dsxero :)

    any advise on washing?

  7. hi everyone,

to follow up on the washing topic, would like to seek advise on how to wash the following:

    J46-S HD Gabardine Climashield® Coat

    J49-SS schoeller® 3XDRY® WB-400â„¢ Jacket

LA5-MP Object Dyed Multiprene Long Sleeve Shirt

P10-DS schoeller® Dryskin™ Articulated Pant (didn't quite catch what the best conclusion/option is for washing these...)

is normal drycleaning ok for all of the above?

    * also, the 'glue' on the ACRONYM tag on my J46-S seems to be falling/peeling off... what should i use to re-glue it back in place?

thanks alot in advance for your help :)

  8. - LA5-MP Size M in black. Looking for L.

    - PL-J1 insulator size L with detachable sleeves. If I can't find a proper replacement it's coming with me!

All in great and some in new condition.

I'm going on a another Himalayan expedition and always interested to test new gear out. I would like to trade for something for either:

    - Warm weather like the SP12TS-CH or SP12TS-S (both black and blue size M)

    - Something for cold conditions to use as a layer like the J25-SSC, DS-J12TS or rather one of new insulators (size L if straight fit, size M if normal fit)

    - How does the DS-HD2 fit? Rather be generous with sweaters so size L but if already fits big size M. I need this the least of all stuff.

    - Tighter trousers from the S series P9 (not the wider one) or or cargo from this year. The only wide one I'd like is the P23TS-S and even more the P15-S (I have the P23TS-CH). All trousers in size M and most preferably wind resistant or proof.

    - Always interested in a J38-LP but not to test out ;-)

    please check your pm

  9. i know this is a long shot, but in case anyone has one of the YYPH Knit-Combo items with the embroidered '"script" detailing in size 2 (or 1), please give me a holler. looking mainly for the basic blazer version (pic), but the coat, long cardigan, sweater versions will do too :) thanks in advance!
