I like Jil Sander ties..although I dont own one. Maybe this fall though. If youre lucky you can find some good skinny ties in vintage stores. Thats where Ive found the best ones.

1. Suburban Cowboys (with the obligatory "cowboy up" sticker on the back of the truck to remind you that they are indeed cowboys.)

Actually BrianSD on the other SF offers some great sizing advice for the Sterlingwear peacoats. I intend to size down also when i buy in a couple of months.
Trapped: did you size down by just one or did you do two? And do you think you could have sized down 2? Trying to decide how fitted I could get without being uncomfortable.
Here's the discussion.

Good advice in that SF thread. I cant wait to rock a good peacoat this fall. Now for the perfect scarf... Its still 80 degrees outside. I dont even know why Im thinking about this stuff already.

Rubbing the sides of your knees together whilst on your back until it leaves a rash. Shit hurts.. but it leaves you with sculpted thighs. superfuture thighs.

TrappedInDC thanks for the advice...Ive heard those surplus stores are the way to go when it comes to peacoats. I just hope they arent "too" warm..it doesnt get too cold here in Seattle. That was their main selling point for the one Ive been looking at from Barneys. Its a cotton peacoat by miu miu. do you happen to know if many companies make cotton peacoats? I really dont want to drop $850 on a single item. I need to buy some boots, etc. The $150ish surplus store prices sound a little more enticing..

touche...good point

^ I feel the same way.
If it does catch on...Id advise anyone who owns stock in detergent companies to sell...fast
But on the other hand, you know all the 'usuals' would wash their raw denim all the time anyways. It would be kinda sad..

saw the kineup outside Goods when those dropped...I was on the bus to work. This is a sign that i need to quit my job.

I know that Gerard Way from MCR has Van Heusen suit jackets. Saw it in a magazine. There you go. Does anyone know anything about Panic! At the Disco's clothes? Theyre crazy. Oh man...I sound like Carson Daly.... I feel like I need a chemical shower now.

Heres one from an experience last night:
You know youre addicted when youre at a Mariners game and you miss a home run because you were so mesmerized about the coloring progress of the whiskering on your rescues...and make your buddy miss it too because you were showing them off.
I wonder if theres any vacancy at the betty ford clinic...

I second the peacoat thing. Ive been looking for one all over Seattle this summer. Barneys is all Ive had luck with. Theres got to be a cheaper option without sacrificing quality...

Pointing towards your crotch and saying "see this crease? thats all me" to a girl at a party doesn't phase you.

I can see the ads now... "Everybody in Three Month Old Unwashed Selvedge Denim" The ads would be scratch and sniff.

Heres a fun idea:
When at the bar, order drinks that dont have to be cold. You will sip them rather than gulp them down before they warm up. That way, you'll spend less. Plus drinking a scotch neat looks...well...neat.

Kuhlman's does alterations..or at least thats what I read. I heard you can get jeans restored there.

Does anyone know if Kuhlman in Belltown carries selvage Nudies yet? Last time I was there it was all greycast.

Im probably the only SF'er upstate...repping Snohomish County.
I frequent Seattle as often as possible. The only place where I get compliments on my JR Calis... I need to check out Riveted soon. Or perhaps just move to Seattle. Thatd be good.

so basically...its the same quality (more or less) but mas production keeps the price down. at least thats what Im getting out of it.

I accidently stumbled into an AF store yesterday and began to wonder at their newly found passion in denim. Im quite a denim newbie so bear with me, but their jeans looked alot like the higher quality denim that Ive been seeing in high end stores. But I didnt look too closely as the smell of Fierce cologne choked me out of the store within minutes. So what is it about the new stuff AF is pumping out be "with it" thats different than say Nudie for example...that would make them so much cheaper?
8-10-06 I cant believe I ever had to ask a question like that...for shame.
