  2. Hmmm, you're probably right, the holy grail of black denim (the samurai xj somethings..) were worn for close to two years so a year might barely make a dent on these or any other black raws. These are 14.5 oz, though, so wouldn't the lower denim weight make them a little bit easier to break in than the samurai's?

the weight isnt going to have anything to do with them breaking in.

  3. What Seraphim said.... but LAST comments promise.

    1. Ever worked on a shipping dock in Hong Kong? Dirty air, dirty people, no quality control of sorts, HOT HOT HUMID conditions. Ever been inside a container with the heat outside of 35 - 40 degrees celcius with a humidex which jacks that up to feeling like 50 degrees celcius +++ ? Try 3.5 months straight of that and you'll understand. True people here may have done the same, but I highly doubt in the same conditions as I have.

people work those kinds of jobs every day for 5 cents an hour. youre not even close to justified or special.

  4. thorns you're a fool. if everybody on here is calling her a girl then obviously she is. there`s no need to go and say shit that could be taken as an insult.

as far as beating up jeans and threading and shit goes... both of my back pockets have ripped stitching and my right back pocket`s arcuate thing ripped too.

  5. my bad broken glass. i totally forgot to answer to size thing. i didnt really size down. i mostly wear 33s or 32s and i got a 32. my natural waist size would probably be something like 32.5 in these before taking stretching and shit into consideration. thinking back i kind of wish i wouldve got a size 31 instead but these are still good.

  6. I don't know who produces the normal evisu stuff but I know kuroki does the veggie jeans and some of the higher end shit.

as far as thelevis deal... cone has only been doing levis since 1904 and wasn't their only supplier until the 80s I belive. they worked with a lot of other looms even while cone was doing their shit and I can almost guarantee that cone didn't start off acting as their primary supplier. but yeah anyway... who the hell was levis pushing their shit with before 1904??

  7. I soaked mine twice. I wore them for like eight days after the first and then soaked them again with hot water and a few pots of boiling water. the picture was like an hour after they dried from the second soak. the fit was perfect then but it stretched out a bit in the last couple days.

  8. twill is characterized by a diagonal rib generally running upward from left to right (right hand twill). Left hand twill (traditional denim weave) has the diagonal rib running upward from right to left. Left hand twill is softer to the touch as well.

  9. find out how they're died exactly. if they're sulfur overdied on top of indigo then they'll fade like raw indigo denim. they'll just take longer and stay darker. if they're just straight up black they're only going to fade a little, if at all.

  10. cone mills is levis primary supplier. they used to sell selvage to abercrombie. they sell selvage to earnest sewn, my line will have selvage from cone.

im not sure who else carries their selvage but i know they supply to everyone from lee to shitty brands like true religion, seven, and rock and republic.

  11. what brands i want won't really be what will sell. is this deep sleep? someone else eluded to it a while back but no more info. Mason just mentioned it on the wthn board....

    so..

nom de guerre and apc are the big ones for me, not even including denim. nom de guerre and apc uppers is what i'm talking about.

yeah its deep sleep. and the dudes are rying to get both apc and nom de guerre.

  12. didnt ande say hes not doing his construction anymore?

its going to be hard to set up a deal with his full service facility for this. especially if he has no straight cut to accommodate for the selvage. also, im pretty sure unless you guys were payin him like an extra 80 dollars it wouldnt be worth it unless he was really nice. im sure his profit is a lot greater on his normal jeans than something like this.
