  1. Hi

Heard a lot of talk about Visvim running half a size big, was wondering if its the same deal with the MJT's. Any info from Visvim heads would be great, dont wanna drop 150 bones and find they don't fit.

    Cheers

  2. Hi

Looking to buy a pair of 501 1947's. pretty simple I figured, buy a size up. However the 34 waist actually measures 32 so I assume will shrink to 30 yet the 36 measures 35.3. What I'm confused about is my own waist size lol. I have jeans that range from 30 tagged size to 34 but all measure around the 33 mark, stretched, shrunk who knows now. Been wearing my Silas classics and Supreme slim jeans which are tagged 30 and 32 but now measure 33, never measured either of them when I got em so dunno if they stretched or not.

Bottom line I think I'll need 32/33 end result as long as they dont stretch too much. Out of anyones experience should I go for the 34 which is actually 32 and hope they stretch like a mofo or go for the 36 which is 35.3. Do lvc shrink the full 2 inches or not? Ive heard sometimes only 1 inch. As the jean is a slimmer style than I would usually wear I figure going a little bigger wouldnt be so drastic.

Any advice would be awesome, cheers guys

  3. Can be anything, clothes, items, a film, a colour etc etc. Anything that squashes the monotony of every day life.

    Mine are:

    Colourful scarves

    Supreme

    Diesel watches

    New Balance kicks

    Aphex Twin

    Bombay Dub Orchestra

Prison break regardless of how shite it actually is.

    Dark grey, white, brown

Schweppes lemonade, havent drunk a glass of coke in weeks.

  4. Anyone know of some nice plain long sleeve polos, pocket if possible in combed cotton, good range of colours. I really want to get a range of nice plain garments that I can wear everyday. The AA ones are the closest so far but they have that 70s colar goin on which I jus cant handle. Does anyone know if the Fruit of the Loom premium polos are any good?

    Cheers

  5. I know its a bit of a 'how longs a piece of string' question but it was going through my head is Im soon to leave Uni and start out in the real world. Anyone here given up wearing streetwear or naturally progressed to a more mature style. What age can you still get away with jordans and stussy t's? I see some people get away with it in their mid 30s but their few and far between. I guess its when you feel too old or it doesnt fit your lifestyle anymore. Any thoughts? Also not just streetwear but a particular style. A lot of people here have very distinct styles, is there a time to give in and jus go shop at GAP, or marks and spencers for u UK peeps on here.

  6. Noticed the straight leg jeans on the now live site. Does anyone know what the fit is like, I mean if they are a recurring item in every line, I know they have a few cuts but was wondering if they have a standard regular fit jean which is what they look like. Caus Im in the uk I have to send my brother to get em and have em sent over. I figure even if I went there in person it aint gunna be the kind of store that'l let me try shit on willy nilly. Cheers guys.

  7. Pretty obvious these days people will buy a pair of nike sb's in a shite colourway (my opinion) caus they are sb/exclusive or what not which is fine, we all need a hobby. What I want to know is what shoes/kicks do you consider good from a design point of view, ie interesting use of colour, material, overal aesthetic. Ive seen some kicks that people cant seem to give away to the general sneakerhead market, that from a design point of view (being a graphic design student) I thought were awesome. Whats peoples top five, they dont have to be underrated, doesnt even have to be five.

    Mine, only 4

Clarks desert boot: classic, fits lots of different styles, ur grandad could wear them, so could a sneakerhead.

Nike Air Force 1 Dirk: Interesting use of colours that wouldnt normally be seen together on a shoe, olive/grey, blue, patent black. Contrasting loud colours and subtler earthy colours.

Nike Dunk High sb T19: You cant give these away but I think these are so clean looking. Only pair of dunks I'd buy.

Callous Kurtz, british camel: Just an interesting looking shoe, use of straight lines in the construction.

please dont tell me to feck off to Niktalk.

  9. yeah it is strange, peoples preferences, see im still slightly into the skate, sneaker scene but as im gettin older im going for a more plain, clean looking style, no logos, one wash slim jeans but with crazy sneakers, but i still like my t's with the slightly roomier fit. thats my younger side coming through. im not into oversizing my t's but i do like them with a bit of room. but i spose it doesnt matter as when i get my first graphic design job i'll probably start dressing all in black anyway lol.

  10. see i have those ones as well, no 2001 on the top of the tag but mine are still too short, i have a fairly longish torso and im 5ft 11 which might be why they are too small. my grey one is 2001 but is longer after i wash the white ones, i think it might be the white ones that do it, i have grey, black and lemon ones and they hold up a bit better.

  11. reson8, yeah think i'll shoot them an email. im not worried about fading so much as im only after a bunch of white ones. yeah all my american apparel t's have shrunk, although my grey one has held up better, seems to be slightly thicker material to the white ones, and i agree the material is soft as you like but then i prefer a t thats a bit more robust. american apparel t's fit awesome straight out of the pack but i cant seem to prevent the shrinkage, the collar scoops too easy as well, im after aaa blanks as i have one with a print on it and the t is a good fit, strong collar, good weight but the label has been removed by the print company so i have no idea what model it is. cheers for the response.

  12. yeah they are shrinking, regardless of the fact i wash them on a cold cycle and hang dry them, eventually they just shrink upwards, you can get a bit more wear out of aa by stretching them when they are damp but eventually they just shrink upwards, the collars stretch out to, if you size up on aa then the fit is awful, really wide body without much extra length.
