  1. sufu 5.0 seems to suffer from lots of double posts

is there anything that can be done to cuts in leather boots? Ive seen some pictures and movies about leather glues that can fix cuts in leather sofas etc but not sure if these cuts can be fixed by it. I dropped off my boot with my local cobbler and instead of asking me first he decided to stitch a piece of leather over the deepest cut. He suggested to polish the boots and that way hide the less deep cuts. pretty upset about it since I wanted to try the glue option first.

That looks weird, are you sure the cut area is leather? Looks vinyl ish

Either way, a patch would work best. At least it's black, you don't have to worry about matching brown shades.

  2. bought a 12-inch memory foam mattress, wasn't quite comfortable enough and it had warm spots.

bought a down mattress topper, its nice and all but every month or so a feather comes out

  3. thanks for posting those Skye again, fresco, they are looking great.

Can I ask what shoe trees people here favour? My tricker's are probably suffering without some, and I'd like to keep my Lotus and Kelso as uncreased as possible. I know there's debate about whether to use them only after wear, or keep them in continuously, what do people here do?

The woodlore Epics fit my Stows perfectly.

I leave them in as much as possible, although I have fewer pair of trees than shoes total, so when shoes go into long term storage (more than a month) I don't think they are necessary.

  4. It's taking the piss a little bit, I'd not have half the Tricker's collection I have if I'd have paid that much cash per pair.

And although I love Tricker's, Crockett & Jones are in a different league of quality. I can't see how Tricker's can justify those kinda prices rises in such a short period of time...

hmm, disagree somewhat, quality is about the same as CJ, although I suppose its rational to expect to pay more for dress shoes than country shoes
