My uncle supplies Tsum in Moscow (probably the biggest retail clothes store in city, was recently bought out by some germans). Basically hes always in London, Italy, Germany, etc checking out collections. I dont know how much he makes because that side of the family is secretive about things like that but its a shitload for sure with all the bonuses at the end of seasons. Its hard because he only comes back for a few days then is gone again to a new city for a couple of weeks.

Film is all fun and games, but when it comes to something like photojournalism or even wedding photography the benefits of digital are infinite. Even fashion photographers shoot with digital backs. Again Im not denouncing film...

Filters/actions can replicate that. Try Fred Miranda's Black and White plugin.

You could sucessfully reproduce all that is listed with a dSLR, photoshop, and some skill/knowledge. dSLRs have BULB mode, allowing for any length exposure. Anything that can be done with film can be done with a dSLR. Maybe except dynamic range, but there are editing methods around that, multiple expsures (HDR), etc..
