  1. yeh, i dig what he's saying uno...but he's talking about certain people, not the whole crowd. fake cats 'sheep' - yeh i known a couple o dem - rockin the flyest gear for attention and 'respect' or some shit. in my opinion i think its all about labels with philosophies that your down with [e.g. me being a skater and being down with zooyork's philosphy and wanting to express that part of myslef by wearing their gear] - not just buying the shit thats at the top in a desperate attempt to be cool - but hell if you got the money then what's to stop them.

'i mean what's really to stop them, well i assumed that maybe someday my mother would realise that i shoulda gotten out' - 350 points for anyone who gets that quote. :P

  2. age: 18, you guys are old.

    how long: 7 years

their first board: californian pro - one kick only. 7 decks since[one fell in the Thames-probably in france by now]

what they ride now: 7.75 creation todd jordan 'I<apple> NY' - brand new bones redz and 53mm wheels - rides like a bitch on ice.

where they live/skate: London, Stockwell ramps=v. nice people

what they skate: concrete waves @ Stockwell Ramps/serious urban architecture[luv concrete banks + ledges]

what shoes they skate in: DC's and Osiris on and off depending on the damage.

last trick learned: a custom trick: i'll try describe it as a 360boneless-fingershuvit360palmwraparound. shit my brain hurts now. before that it was a good ol' no-comply-varial flip. priceless.

been street skating for like 5 years but then discovered how fun the parks can be. my one week snowbaording in canada just got me hooked on speed and curves...so now i spend my time carving up the parks. there aint nuthin like it.

i wanna try a zoo york deck next - any good feedback on them?

  4. sup superpeople,

anyone know how much skateboards [not a complete - just the deck] is gonna cost me in tokyo/osaka/main japanese city and where i might be able to grab one.

tokyo skate shops probably rock, and hopefully prices of skate branded apparel are a little lower [ i'm just wishing here aren't i] than in those main street fashion stores.

    hell, its worth a shot.

    tanks guys.

plus.. any superskaters taken their board on a plane as handluggage - can you even do that? they can go to hell if they want my baby in the cargo hold - the luggage dudes will just end up having a go and breaking their ankles - then i'll NEVER get it back!!!

Yo, Its been a coupla years since i been out that way, but you need to hit Roppongi (the night life district in Tokyo). Blocks and blocks of nothing but clubs. Im from NYC and Roppongi gives New York a run for its dollers! The clubs I used to hit (hiphop) were Veites and Gas Panic. Go to a Subway station ask a attendent how to get to Roppongi and your in it to win it

i dont know about the times you went dude, but i have been getting sooo many warnings about GAS PANIC and the whole roppongi area - full of tourists, and the most horrible kind at that. the clubs are filled with the

i'm just passing on info, dont hate the messenger:P

'And steer clear of Roppongi - it's a big sess pit of the worst foreigners in Japan and the ugliest (although the foreigners love them) and most STD-infected girls in Japan. Werd.'

  6. hey dude

i gotta similar story as im also gonna be in japan for first time in july.

i got a lot of info over the last couple of days about where to shop for sneaks and clothes etc..

hit up www.laavenue.co.jp - a shop in Kitiziyouzi, Noichi or somewhere like that (more detail on the site, NB - i still havent figured out japanese addresses)

they sell online and got supreme caps from $220 (£120) to $63 (£35)

tees are expensive mate and supreme is just mad expensive in general - i've had people warn me about that more than once!

sneaks will set you back around $180 (£100) for AF1 lows so its gonna be major bucks

Ueno is apparently 'the' place for sneaks at good prices

also check a store called PX, [www.px-magastore.com] in Ogikubo.10 mins from Shinjuku

'They've got 2 places: first is just for sneakers, and they have an awesome selection of hard-to-find's; second is a 3-floor building, selling clothes and accessories....And Supreme is crazy$$$... '

just passing on the info...hope it helped dude

oh yeah, and anything BAPE is gonna set u back too - even does here in london - at like $100 for a tee and $180 minimum for their sneaks [except for the low type stuff which is about half that]
