sorry if it wasnt clear, i meant if you were to see someone walking down the street could you tell if his jeans were selvedge just by looking at the outside without looking at the seam? thanks.

im seeing more and more fake selvedge jeans, not really fake i suppose but trying to imitate selvedge by folding down the seam part. besides looking for the chainstitch, is there any other way to tell if jeans are selvedge? thanks.

what i dont get is this. making fakes are illegal anyways, and the fake labels are printed by the people making hte fakes, so why cant they print the label following the guidelines above to make them 'real'. is it just MORE illegal to have an exact copy of the tag?

ive read on this board and some others that left hand twill is softer than right hand twill. do some companies knit the right hand twill a little loosely to make it softer? i was just at old navy and it seemed like thats waht they were doing. o, and sadly, old navy is trying to imitate selvedge jeans by sewing the two fuzzy parts down with purple thread.

what are all your opinions on jeans like true religon, von dutch, seven, citizens of humanity, stuff like that. is it just expensive because of its brand name? and could you list a few pointers in looking for quality so i dont have to bother you guys again? thanks all!

nyc is my favorite city, and there are a lot of places i love.

chrome hearts (64th and lexington) sells this awesome chunky gothic silver jewelry. its an amazing store too. you knock, and somebody lets you in, the main floor is the hoodies, clothes, bracelets, rings, eveyrthing. then you walk down a flight of stairs to a lower floor, but between these two floors is a little fountain with trees and eveyrthing, its nice. lower floor is little less popular stuff, like the purses, the belts, lighters, knives. and the staff is incredibly nice, and get stuff for you to try on, even though you are most likely not going to buy stuff. its hella expensive, around 5000$ for a bracelet, 500 for rings.
