I'd say- yes. They have an overall looser feel due to the width and shape. Some may consider it to feel big. If you intend to wear no socks then maybe go down a half size.

Managed to grab a pair. Really nice rich brown leather and roomy toe-box. Only Visvim purchase this year.

Has anyone had the pleasure of trying this garment on? Has sizing changed with French production? Any pics of the red check color option available? I have been told that it is a fine gingham check pattern. Is this an accurate description? Really hard to tell from the picture.

Any pictures of the Swingtop Jacket out there? It looks like this may be the first made in France item. Very curious.

The Shigatse plaid long sleeve shirt has already been released. I own it in the blue and it's rather nice. Very light weight. The royal blue and burgundy overlap making it appear purple from a distance. I'm sure I'll get a lot of use out of it this spring. The other items are still pending release, I believe. Speaking of releases, any info on the tentative release date for the fabro folk and the heather pocket tee?

Thanks for the info on the leather Hockney Folk's. Time to go peruse Yahoo! Japan. I picked up the bear foot Hockney's this summer and they are great, but I would have much rather had a pair in leather.

I believe that they have released everything featured in the catalog. It seems they are just releasing FIL exclusives and filler until the Fall/Winter stuff starts to ship.

Anyone know where one can acquire these? I've seen a few pairs pop up on yahoo japan, so i know they have been released, but I have not seen any for sale on all of the reseller sites yet. Did Union LA or NY receive any? If you know where I can get a black pair please let me know.

Has anyone heard of this company? I took a look at it in August, and the idea seems fairly on point. Stronghold is suppose to be a workwear company that was unearthed from 1895 (don't know if it's fictitious or real), and the line consists of all the appropriate workwear style jeans reproduced in an authentic manner. Everything in the line was selvedge, and they even had one style that was a natural indigo dyed ( I guess most heritage companies have at least one of these in their line now). It's suppose to start shipping this month, so I'm curious to know if anyone has seen them. It definitely looked like a promising line.

I have a Gore-Tex jacket that needs a little cleaning, but I wanted to see what those with experience with this fabric have to say about the proper cleaning proceedure. Is it ok to Dry clean or is better to just wash it on gentle cold? I'm a newbie when it comes to this fabric, so all advice will be appreciated.

Yes, the washes are intentionally unnatural, but this is why I like it. The asymmetrical whiskering and the arbitrary distressing is what attracts me to their washes, and what I think makes the jeans a bit more relevant than all of the other heritage lines trying, and usually failing, at producing a wash that looks authentic.

I have been considering buying a pair of these online, but I need some advice on which size to buy. I'm a size 33" waist, so would those that already own a pair suggest buying a Medium or a Large? Medium is roughly a 32" waist, correct? What's the stretching factor with this denim, extreme or minor? Thanks for the replys in advance!

We just got the A/W collection in last week. I have to say, I find the after hours theme for T's a little trite, but the designs on the rest of the apparel is well thought out. The cashwool (anyone know what cashwool is?) camo half-zip sweater is really nice with a more relaxed fit, the jackets have a bunch of really functional detailing, and the pants with the removable pouch pocket fit very well.
