I was told by the store that they shouldn't shrink much at all, but I'll be washing mine this weekend so will let you know then (if someone hasn't already).

I'm all for giving the finger to the global trend!

Quote: just got mine today, courtesy of mr. Cue. the fabric is a bit thinner than APC, and the quality of construction isn't on the same level, nor is the attention to detail. with that said, they're pretty damn good for the $$$. even a better VALUE than, dare i say, APC. can't wait to break them in. got mine in 30x33.
I agree. I've never owned APC's, but I've looked at them in Liberty's and they are better quality, but not THAT much better quality. Also, I think the Uniqlo's fit really well.
Quote: i think different models have different fits but my dry selv fit like a classic 501....normal waist and straight legThey are definitely similar to the classic 501 cut, but in my case I actually think they fit a little better than my 1955 LVC's.

The problem is that I don't really live near Richmond, and only just happened to be passing through there on Saturday. If I do get a chance to go back I certainly will pick up some more.

^^ That's interesting - the Richmond store had absolutely stacks of them and in all sizes.

^^ maybe, but the Uniqlo's are currently much harder to get hold of. Although I have to say that in terms of good value jeans Uniqlo have to be the number 1 right now.
With regards to them selling out in Japan, I'm not surprised, but it seems it's not the same here in the UK where they have been reduced from £35 to £20 and there are still big stocks in the stores. I guess most Brits still don't understand the wonders of selvage.

I got mine from the store in Richmond in London and they definitely had a huge array of waist and inseam sizes. I certainly remember seeing 30", 32" and 35" inseams, which I guess should cover most people.

I'd say they are pretty much a standard 501 style fit, probably similar to the 66's - certainly not Dior homme though.
Size wise I think they come up a little small, but really not by much at all, and they told me in the store that they shouldn't shrink so I assume they are sanforized.
Hope that helps.

Hey Mauro!
I'm afraid that I have no idea if they wholsale, but I doubt it. They are a kind of Japanese GAP after all. Also someone mentioned on here previously that they are opening their first store in the US soon, I think it's going to be in New Jersey if I remember rightly.
Unfortunately the Blue Bloods haven't arrived yet, you'll be the first to know when they do. I can't wait!

They really are superb for the money, and I have to say that the fit is real nice too.

I happened to go past a Uniqlo today and picked up a pair of their selvage jeans for 20 pounds (about $35), and I thought all those in the US might like to see some photos, as I don't remember seeing any on here

What about the Visvim 7-Hole's? I haven't tried them personally, and they are certainly very pricey, but I think they look great!

They are a straight leg, fairly slim fitting, and are certainly not what I would call baggy. They also have a fairly high rise.

I'd certainly agree with the calls for Samurai jeans. I did actually mail them directly a while ago, and they were happy to ship internationally, but they only had boot cuts in the 19oz available, and frankly it looks from the pictures like the boot cuts are bordering on bell bottoms.

I've been looking for style no. MBN01ND for a long time now here in the UK, so if you do get them in in a 38 then please PM me.
Thanks!

Hey DenimBar1 - do you stock Blue Blood, and if so do yo have 38 waists?
Lastly, do you ship to the UK?
Thanks!

Those Rainbows are gorgeous!
I recently bought a pair of the Nashvilles off of the Bay, and I have to say they are definitely one of the nicest pairs of jeans I've ever owned.

Cue is right, Selfridges and Libertys are probably your best bet, particularly as they are also close to stores like The Hideout, Busy Work Shop, Foot Patrol, Maharishi etc.
Start is a great store though, and the people in there are nice.

I'm currently breaking in a pair of Regular Ralf drys - 4 months in and shaping up nicely.
Also wearing Levis LVC 1955's and PRPS's.

Back to the 'BAPE' pronunciation, according to this article....

It is actually pronounced 'Baypee'.

How about Randolph's. They make THE aviators - as supplied to airforces around the world.....
They are also really nice people to deal with.

I got them from here....

And they are the New OSD Jeans, which are £90, that's about $165.

I've also ordered a pair to add to my collection. Can't wait to get them but as you say it sounds like it's going to be some time.
