Paul T has a book out? What's it name?

Man, I've been missing out on the news around here.

  2. Chris Fine Dry Cleaners

    1169 Broadway (Teele Square)

    Somerville, MA. 02144

He's near Davis Square. A Korean gentleman and his wife. I trusted this man with cleaning and altering all my clothes for years. Always a superb job, reasonable prices too.

  3. Actually, you'll get an off white color. I've successfully bleached two pairs of jeans that had wear marks I didn't care for. Submerge the jeans in a 50/50 bleach/water solution over night, repeat if necessary until you can't see any more blue. Then wash the jeans BY THEMSELVES, repeat until you've rid them of the bleach smell. Getting dark blue jeans to become completely white is probably a foolish endeavor.

  4. I had a pair of Gucci selvage some time ago, they're nice but nothing to write home about. Depends on what you're looking for in a pair of jeans, you can find better denim for that price range.

  5. I bougth a seam ripper at a local Target for less than 3 bucks. It really comes in handy for ripping up back pocket stitching and neck tags. I imagine a sharp box cutter would work well too.

  6. You may want to check out some RRL slim fit on ebay. I just got a pair for dirt cheap the other day and am very impressed with the construction and fit. They're slim fit, low rise, non-tapered, japanese selvage, felled seams, nice indigo. For around 50 bucks, you really can't go wrong. Just make sure you ask the seller what the exact measurements are because they're all over the place. My size 26 measured 31" waist.

  7. After seeing "there's something about marry," I haven't looked at zippers the same way. That bathroom scene probably singlehandedly fucked up the zipper industry.

  9. I'm away from these jeans at the moment. I won't be back to school for another two weeks. Will get in touch by then if there are still interests. BTW, the Varvatos retailed for $185. Gap is also available. I haven't done much since I put up the post because of finals.

  10. FYI, I went snowboarding with a pair of loose fit levi's once. I wore a pair of long johns underneath. They were sufficient to keep me reasonably warm for 6-8 hours of snowboarding. I did this years ago when I first began to learn snowboarding. Needless to say, the jeans are faded everywhere. I still have them and ususally put them on to go shovel snow.

  11. The Varvatos jeans measured just a tad under 33" from the inside waist. Total cost with shipping to the UK will be $67 via US Postal Service, which takes 4-6 business days. PM me for paypal info.
